But I think the best things to consider is whether you (a) Trust This Person, (b) Respect This Person, (c) Accept This Person For Who He/She Is.

Because when the problems appear, when the beauty disappears, the sex drive slows, the children leave the coop and all that, these 3 checkpoints are your assesment guide whether your relationship can make it through thick and thin.
Remember, is not a straight jacket opinion. In marriage ultimately, is what works for just the BOTH PARTIES.
