The two arguably best football players in the world for some years now, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi met in Monaco at the UEFA’s Best Player awards Ceremony and had some discussions on football generally and specifically about the crisis at F.C. Barcelona.

Cristiano Ronaldo who by the way won the award, reportedly told Lionel Messi that “I am worried for you”.

Ronaldo was said to have seriously expressed his concern for the Argentine as he told Messi that with the present situation surrounding F.C. Barcelona, “no-one inside the Real locker room regard Barca as genuine title challengers and also expressed concern about how Messi’s career could end if he remained at the Nou Camp”.

Ronaldo was reported as telling Messi that with the Barcelona struggling in the transfer market and losing Neymar this summer, the Barca Superstar needed better players around him and there was a real danger of his career fizzling out if things did not improve immediately.
