Lol. I can relate. I do get irritated wherever the EDGE service there is slow.
Personally, most times I have my phone on 2G because of the battery. And I reserve my downloads/updating for the 500MB/1.5GB night plan.
So it really pays me.

Dial *312# to migrate to Trybe.
Dial *312# again and Select Night Browsing (3).
You will be given two options.. 500MB for N25 and 1.5GB for N200

Some of those claiming double data is working are MTN agents trying to trick people to subscribe.
