The IG should resign or be sacked, so investigation can commence on the allegation brought against him

If it were Pdp's era the PSC would have disposed of his record in the police and say that the retirement letter was fake and they dont have his record in their achive .

Buhari's certificate comes to mind

[quote author=Omeokachie post=60197866]Now that this has been cleared, and the distraction removed, can the IGP now address the MAIN issue, which borders on his alledged corrupt enrichment?

To think that this was the same IGP that called out Arase for diverting over 20 police operational vehicles. /
The same way the grass cutter told us that PDP deserves investigation since they have been looting for the past 16 years.

The best way to investigate the claim of bribery against the IG is to go to most companies that policemen are deploy for security purposes to check their expenses.Like where I formerly worked. The company have 4 policemen guarding it and they are paid #16k every week.Minus the IG share.

Seun okin is one of d smartest journalist i hv ever known, he wasnt biased in d questions, he wanted to clear that distraction because he noticed that d PPRO is more interested in it, but time didnt premit him to throw more question on the main issue. If u arent a smart politician and seun interview u, u might say wat u dont want to say. Lets watch how d matter goes.

this police PRO na him worse. see the way he was denying on live tv that the police doesnt get any money from banks, churches , VIPs, oil companies etc where policemen are posted to? it is jjst too easy to floor him all that need to be done is an audit, and lets see how much this companies, banks etc pay for security. the PPRO was more concerned about mishai being a deserter. he wasnt ready to answer the question. and the channels tv moderator seun, was biased or was too carried away with a non issue

This is the most corrupt IG of all times.
For a retired police officer and a senator to level such accusation against him is enough for him to tender his resignation and be probed.

The Nigeria police stinks to high haven of corruption from the IG to the writer 2 in the station and needs urgent sanitization to redeem whatever is left of it.

Police...Corruption Inc.

what do u expect when the person that appointed him did no write wasc/waec.

I watched the program that Sunday. seun knew he had one hour for the program, and the program title wasn't about mishai, but about the allegations against the NPF. it wasn't until 5 or 10 minutes to the end of the program that the main issue about the corruption in the police got discussed. in my opinion, he wasted too much time discussing frivolities. there were questions I was expecting him to ask the poluce PRO, but like u said he couldn't ask cos the time was up. so annoying

The IGP should never have joined issues with the Senator.

We should learn to come to terms with reality always, not what it was or what it may be, but what it is. He attempted to relate with the 'DSP' (what it was) and forgot to tread cautiously with the Senator (the reality) It should be a thing of pride that erstwhile junior has risen to be a distinguished Senator of the Republic, a supposed strong ready ally for you.

If indeed he was a deserted the Force, why did it take the NPF to discover this?

This is rather another embarrassment that needed not to have ovccured.

who didn't know the PPRO was flagrantly telling obvious lies....calling a dog a bad name just to hang it. it was clear to see that the police force was just being mischievous....trying to rope the senator and draw attention away from the very important and weighty allegations he had made. I just pity the ridicule the PPRO's children will be subjected to at school considering that their father had no qualms shamelessly telling lies on national television.

Don't mind SEUN, he didn't allow the senator to disgrace NPF
