Update on my 6 year old daughter's crochet lessons

Indeed determination is powerful. She has made lots of things both beautiful and funny looking

Whichever way she's actually better than when she started!

So far, the most important thing she has learnt is PATIENCE! And we will be applying it on different aspects of living

Now she understands that in order to get something beautiful you have to sit and work it out smartly.

So few days ago she told me we should make lots of headbands (she has actually made lots of them) so that we can sell them and have money to buy a new dolly, police car, piano etc cos the list long for herself and her sister

This daughter of mine doesn't know what is going on in this corntree

....But I'm glad she is learning these things and having fun. Aside basic education, I'll keep teaching my children financial literacy cos I know I'll not be here for them forever!

What is stopping you from executing that great idea of yours? If my 6 year old can be determined and push herself to bring her desire to reality, you too can!

Note: She made this red headband from start to finish with all joy

Behold Akela's first crochet doll inspired by @clovekids

Plenty errors including half past eye and k-leg
But no worries!
Consistent practice makes perfect

I'm saving these here now o before this 7 years old comes up tomorrow and claim that she made it from scratch to finish herself in 2023

This doll was achieved under close supervision by mummy
6 days project turned 6 weeks but laslas it was achieved jare

All crochet body parts and the lovely gown made by Akela while mama did the joining and embellishment.

It's a win-win

But wait o! Wahala dey ever finish?

So a very good client of mine recently ordered a floral gown with butterfly wings for her baby's photo session and of course I got to work.

90% done and I discovered I won't be able to meet up the deadline due to some circumstances beyond control.

The best thing to do is to quickly reach out to the client which I did with progress report only to be reminded that this was not the exact dress she ordered

MOGBE!!!

How did this happen?

Her specification was "Crochet infused ball gown" that means the bodice will be crochet and not satin. She even reminded me of our chat

I can't remember ever entering this kind of one chance

Now I understand people sometimes feel perhaps and nevertheless

This client loves the uniqueness of our crochet infused wears so I'm off to make her preference because

Fault was mine!

Meanwhile this bluey goodness is up for grabs
It fits 1 to 2 years old only

It comes with a detachable butterfly wings, bow tie and beaded hair accessory.
