Why do churches collect fees from intending couples before officiating the wedding? Some churches would even make it mandatory for the lady to pay all her tithe or else no wedding.
Nairalanders I need answers.

If the Church is going to Organized the wedding program the burdens is definitely on her. I cant condemned or defend any Church here as I don't know their standard.

Like my church would demand for few buks from the couple for the printing of Wedding Program Book. And most time the wedding is usually mass wedding 2 couples and above.

Because it costs money for the church to officiate the wedding. Money for fuel, printing of the program, Etc.

Is it not a business? If they don't collect money, how will they get revenue, how will they make profit, how will they make good cashflow.
