I have faith that reciting lines from my favorite storybook out loud will instantly transport me into a fantasy world of bliss and merryment. I don't have any valid evidence that it would work. But I choose to have faith in it because I want to go so, so badly! Do you think my choice to have faith in this idea, has any effect on whether I can truly access this fantasy world or not? 2 Likes |

People perception about him give birth to religion which is method of worship. There are people who believed in God Almighty and still believed in deity of gods (Powerful being). |

Seun:You can't be privy to the amount of days Jesus spent in the grave because the Bible never gave the time Jesus was buried, only the day was given. Jesus made reference to what happened in Nineveh because, as a Jew, he had been taught about the story, and he believed that it was true. |

Seun: Jesus told the Jews that Abraham was glad when he saw his day. They asked him his age and how possible is it for his to know Abraham. He told them...." Before Abraham, I am" If he IS before Abraham, he knew what happened during the period of Noah, etc. He didn't need to be taught. And he confirmed it in his teachings. Secondly, we can deduce that the strory has not changed. |

I had a dream about three months ago. I saw my sister died. I started praying. In that dream, I was told not to bother. That there is nothing I can do. That it will happen before we resume. I am running a program and the session was on. I didn't not understand the word " before we resume" That she had suffered enough. She is coming to rest. I woke up and told my wife. God Almighty is a witness to what I just shared. Indeed he is a witness. I added nothing, neither remove anything from the dream. Today, I lost my father to the cold hand of death this morning.....An accident. ASUU strike has crippled the program. Now I understand....." Before we resume" ASUU strike was not even proposed when I had the dream. He was coming from a church program. He died on the spot. He is resting already. It is not a consolation. It is a fact that I was told almost 3 months ago. Your turn is coming. Yes it is. I might be away for a while. Surely, I will be back to finish this thread. I am sad. But Glory is due to God, the Ancients of Days . Glory to Jesus the Lamb. This part below was updated in October: After the burial on Saturday, ASUU called off the strike on Monday. 18th September 2017. 1 Like |

Seun: Wrong! I would love to chip in. your ignorance on how the jews compute their time and day during the first century a.d lead you into this mess! before i move on, had you heard in this 21st century somebody speaking the english "20 days and 20 nights"? unfortunately, you overlook the fact that there was a big difference between hebrew speech in first century and english in the 21st century. the jews counted any part of a day as a whole day when computing any consecutive periods of time. as Jesus was laid in the tomb on the friday, was there through out the saturday and only rose sometimes before dawn on the sunday(the sunday having officially started at sunset on saturday according to jewish calendar. there can be no doubt that he was in the tomb for a period of three days. |

I will do a research on how the scriptures were preserved by God himself. In a short while.... |
Re: The Bible As A Book. Why Should I believe it? by Originakalokalo(m): 10:22am On Sep 21, 2017 |
How it was preserved. The discovery of the Dead Sea scrolls in 1947 confirmed that we still have the same Old Testament as they did at Jesus’s day. The survival of thousands of New Testament manuscripts confirms that the New Testament writings were also providentially preserved. The question among textual scholars is not whether some words are missing, but which variant readings, in a few minor cases, are the correct ones. In contrast, few copies have survived from nearly every other classic book, such as Caesar’s Gallic Wars or Herodotus’ Histories. While copies of major portions of the New Testament survive from documents dated around AD 300, most other classic books survive in copies no older than around AD 900. God’s Word survived despite intense efforts to destroy it. For instance, in 175 BC the king of Syria, Antiochus Epiphanes, ordered the Jews, on pain of death, to destroy their Scriptures and worship the Greek gods. But Judas Maccabaeus saved the books and led a revolt that won independence for the Jewish nation. (Today, Jews celebrate this event at Hanukkah.) |

Many lives perished, those that agitated that the Bible should be for everyone. Many died fighting for this privilege. The devil fought and lost. This days, he will stop you from reading it. If you read or hear it, he will come with doubts to remove it from your heart. Its like not reading or hearing it in the first place. God bless you as you read and contact me for more. |

Seun: Two prophets, One message. It means their source is One. God Almighty. Essay answers are written by men. They can have different approach, but the message might be the same. The Gospels have different accounts cos they were written by men. Yet, the same message. Death , miracles , ressurection, Ascension. Unfortunately, you only support my stand. 1 Like 1 Share |

I have been reading your write ups and I will say it makes sense to me but I have a couple of questions After being born again what comes next? What do you do to maintain status quo How do you ensure that you will make heaven? I ponder on this sometimes because we are told that the criteria for entering heaven is being born again if this is so why is there still a need for judgement. For a born again person do your good deeds ie charitable acts get rewarded by God or do they count for nothing. I would appreciate your response and God bless you as you do so 1 Like |

Born Again: This is simply the RENEWAL OF MIND. After the fall of man, Human mind became corrupt. Two forces worked to get it's attention. The Natural human mind will accept the guidance of Evil forces. It became corrupt and desperately wicked. At salvation, there is REMORSE. The man no longer wants evil to control his mind and hence his actions. He accepts Christ and the Mind is reborn. Now, Holy Spirit takes over the control of the mind. This is being born again. Jesus becomes your saviour and LORD. HE LORDS OVER YOUR LIFE. Gains control of your mind.directs you. Anything different from this is just a confession of being born again with mere words. 1 Like |

Jesus Lord's over your life. When you are angry, he says....it's okay. You know you're a child of God. Let it go. When someone offends you grievously, and you find it difficult to forgive, .. Holy Spirit would say.... forgive. As a child of God, you have no choice. This is Jesus being your Lord. When you do these, there won't be hate, lies, evil thought, etc. Your mind is renewed. You are born again. |
Re: The Bible As A Book. Why Should I believe it? by Originakalokalo(m): 10:03am On Oct 25, 2017 |
After being born again genuinely as described above, and Jesus, through the holy Spirit, has taken over your life you should know that THE EVIL FORCES HAVE NOT GONE ANYWHERE. THEY WILL STILL CONTINUE TO LOOK FOR YOUR ATTENTION EVERYDAY FOR THE REST OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. Note the uppercase above. This is the truth and nothing but the truth. There is a way to retain the status quo. It is easy. But you have to be determined to never give them the control. Not anymore. I will tell you what you need to do. |
Re: The Bible As A Book. Why Should I believe it? by Originakalokalo(m): 10:17am On Oct 25, 2017 |
FEED ON THE WORD OF GOD. When you do this, your mind is stronger. It is the food that will sustain your mind against evil suggestions. It is the only way to remain in the status quo. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY. I Find it easier to live a holy life whenever I study the word more. Once you do it, Even if the evil forces are around, their influence on your mind will "thin-out" Next thing is KEEP THE WORD IN YOUR MIND. Even when you are not studying the Bible, Let a verse remain in your heart. This is the one I keep in mine; 1. You are a servant to whom you choose to obey. 2. He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world. 1 Like 1 Share |

I won't bore you with the explanations of what happens behind the scenes whenever you study and strengthen your heart. The reason why there will be Judgement even after being born again are as follows; 1. Some are fake confessions. They confess being born again but their lives never suggest anything like that. Nothing is renewed. 2. Judgement for a genuine child of God is not condemnation. He is judged to get REWARD. Based on His works on Earth. Eg 4 star, 3 crowns, etc. he gets what he deserves. That is Judgement. Regardless of his reward, he is saved. 1 Like 1 Share |

I can personally block out some thoughts even before it starts spreading. This ability is of the holy ghost. It comes with time and you continue to obey him. Don't forget you are a servant of whom you choose to obey. I obey the holy Spirit. And the consequence is safety. Demons cannot torment you. They don't have access to you. All I have said are scriptural. I hope I have answered your questions. God bless you. |
