More Crisis In Health Sector - JOHESU Issues 7day Warning Strike Ultimatum To FG by Nobody: 6:33am On Sep 14, 2017
The  Secretary to the Government of the Federation Three Arms Zone Abuja

Sir,
RE: RESUMPTION OF SUSPENDED INDUSTRIAL ACTION BY JOINT HEALTH SECTOR UNIONS (JOHESU) AND ASSEMBLY OF HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS (AHPA): 7 DAYS FINAL ULTIMATUM

We wish to refer to our various communications oordering on the demands of members of JOHESU. You will recall that the issues are not new and meetings upon meetings were held without any fruitful or meaningful outcome.

In view of the obvious lack of commitment of the Government to the lingering demands, the patience of our members has been overtaxed.

It has therefore become expedient that JOHESU has been left with no other choice than to give seven 7-days FINAL ULTIMATUM with effect from Thursday, 14th of September, 2017, to the Federal Government within which the lingering issues are to be resolved failing which members of JOHESU will embark on an INDEFINITE STRIKE ACTION throughout the country with effect from the Mid-night of 20th September, 2017.

We wish to further stress that if after the first 7 days of the strike action there is no concrete resolution, JOHESU shall be forced to extend the strike action to members in the States and Local Governments throughout the country.

Thank you in great anticipation of your urgent action to forestall any of the tiny strings of industrial relations between us that are threatening to snap.

Kindly accept our esteem regards and best wishes please.
