OPINION POLL: Online Survey on Secessionist Movement and Political Development in Nigeria: A Case-study of South eastern Nigeria

Good day esteemed Nairalanders.

This is purely an academic exercise. Hence, my expectation of respondents is along the lines of sound intellectualism, objectivity and unbiased opinion. This is not a thread for inter-tribal virtual warfare or agitation of any sort. No names or characters have been alluded to.

Simply answer: strongly agree (SA), agree (A), indifferent (I), disagree (D) or strongly disagree (SD)

Question 1:
Secessionist movement is detrimental to the political development of Nigeria.

Question 2:
The costs and damages of a secession movement are mostly borne by the secessionist group.

Question 3:
The costs of secession far outweigh the benefits of a secession.

Question 4:
The tendency of the secessionist group breaking into smaller groups is higher assuming they succeed.

Question 5:
Other major tribes have been hospitable and liberal to south eastern Nigerians.

Question 6:
The economy of south eastern Nigeria is largely dependent on the aggregate market population of Nigeria

Question 7:
South eastern Nigeria has all it takes politically, economically, militarily, ideologically and technologically to be independent.

The approach of the Federal government to the imminent insurrection of IPOB is justifiable.

South eastern Nigeria should be granted the right to self-determination and independence.
