There are too many kids on nairaland these days. Their hatred for this present government has turned them to retards that they are ready to support anything that can bring down the government. To the extent that they don't know the difference between NLC and ULC. Who is ULC or rather what is ULC. If you believe any strike will hold Base on this empty talk, am sorry for your future. Keep dreaming!!

So the answer is to go on an industrial strike?are strikes only for the Federal Government?

why don't they embark on strikes to hold the State Government's for not conducting local Government elections or a strike to compel state governments to show their accounts of management?

Your questions are not at all in correlation with the comment you quoted. As a matter of fact you're probably justifying the statement with your questions and remarks.
Asking for a change in ideology doesn't equal to calling for anyone to take up arms or embark on endless cycles of strike action. We need a change in the way we think, our value system, which will eventually affect what we do. That's my point.
As for the leadership crisis we are facing, every honest Nigerian knows that we have a dearth of good leadership at all levels of government and public service.
Strike, unfortunately, has been identified as the only language Nigerian leaders seem to understand and only good and responsible leadership can bring about a change in that ideology. Cheers!

Coming from ULC, this is absolute thrash! They just want to be recognised after being used and dumped by the APC led Federal govt. They lost an election to comrade Ayuba Wabba and decided to go set up their own union, but the GEJ led FG at the time denounced them so they partnered with APC and went on an illegal strike just before elections when even MTN and GLO were shutting down due to nupeng strike. The Buhari won and they thought they would be given a place of relevance. When Buhari increased fuel price from 87 to 145, NLC went on a legal strike which was greatly weakened because ULC refused to join them after a private meeting between Ajaero and Tinubu. Na now dem come realise say dem need strike? What for? ASUU is already on strike what do they need ULC backup for? Or is this strike politically motivated because Tinubu and Buhari are no longer in good terms? Abeg Ajaero should find somewhere to go and sleep joor. Nonsense!

Their intentions may be wrong, we cannot exactly say for sure. However, we also cannot deny the congency of the points they raised, which of course does not only include the ongoing ASUU strike.
Nigeria as a nation and Nigerians as a people, need to begin to hold our leaders accountable, we need to learn to demand responsibility from them.

Then let them go and resubject themselves to the recognised NLC or TUC and strike with one voice rather than being Tinubu's political tool. I can never support Ajaero and his group cos they killed NLC, the last hope of the common Nigerian by refusing to go on strike when we needed them most. They will not get the support of most Nigerians, I bet you. Already, some unions have already started pulling out of the ULC strike because they now see Ajaero for what he is; a bloody fraud!

This useless ULC sabotage NLC strike during fuel increase they are the one that sat with FG who promised Nigerian workers palliative but since 2015 their promise is yet to be fulfilled so they expect us to hnonour their yeye strike and agreed on terms that will never be implemented by the same FG? never our mumu don do though Wabba the NLC is a toothless dog which fail to compel FG to fix new minimum wage but Ajaero ULC added to his failure imaging the didnt sabotage the 2015 fuel i
price increased we should have started enjoy the palliative so this time around is law of karma working whatever you sow shall be reaped shikanah

the vice chairman for uLC was asked if the union is registered and recognised, he was beating around the Bush on channel TV. they are sponsored to discredit the present government. one of their reasons for going on strike was the failure to registered the union which doesn't make any sense.

I sincerely do hope the labour unions sheave their swords and sort out their differences in the interest of the nation. The problem we have in that regard however is that power intoxicates (especially so for the black man, forgive my stereotyping) and it may be difficult for them to display the humility required for peace to reign.

The crux of the matter still remains the fact that Nigeria is dying for good leadership across board.

why do we keep allowing this so called ULC distract our attentions. what is the connection between private sector employee with the federal government? and those in the banking sector knows they can't be in any form of association talkless of this ULC. Where is ULC when 80% of Banks employees are contract staff? where are they when all ex PHCN staff were paid their money? Where were they when ASUU announced that they have agreed with the federal government? useless and stupid idea.

kikake:

Nigeria in a scatter mode. Strike all over the place. Islamic soldiers on war in the east of Nigeria in guise of looking for criminals in the east; the east recently declared by an international organization as the most peaceful in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the war-monger president is busy shaking hands with other world leaders whose countries are in working order.

In 2015, there were hundreds of thousands of young, articulate, well-educated and less-corrupt presidential materials in Nigeria, but Nigerians went for a man like Muhammadu Buhari; no thanks to a skewed political structure of Nigeria with 20 new federating units in Fulani-controlled north;

no thanks to a constitution which states that a presidential candidate must score 25% votes in 2/3 of the 36 states to be declared winner. Buhari benefited from the northern Nigeria military's fraudulent political structure and constitution to win.

The political structure and constitution allows for even a cow from the Fulani-controlled north to win a most qualified professor of law from the south of Nigeria in every presidential election, so long as the northern political class insists that the president must come from the north..

Atiku and El-Rufai from the north are warming up for 2019. In normal circumstances, VP Osinbajo should have been a natural replacement for Buhari.

Nigeria deteriorates with the fraudulent political structure and constitution which now allow the self-acclaimed most educationally-disadvantaged north largely determine who must lead Nigeria.

@bolded
How do you reason with your anus?
How did GEJ win in 2011? How did OBJ win in 1999 and 2003?
What was different at those times?
Your write up is so senseless, hate filled and illogical.
No need to find out where you are from because it is so glaring.
Every Nigeian knows the real tribal bigots that can never accommodate any other tribes.
No need to preach to you. It is a DNA thing. Nothing can be done about it.
