This is really boiling me out... I have absolutely nothing but my tithe and i have followed paying my tithe strictly and i have already kept my tithe to pay on Sunday but someone very close to me is in great need of help i have no cash but my tithe, if i help this person with my tithe have i faulted? |

Your tithe is your Tithe. It's God's Money... If you must help,do it but Ensure u still pay that Tithe when the money comes.... You can't substitute Tithe for help and vice versa |

bedspread: 1) god is NOT the owner of the church 2) here is what your holy book says about tithe: 2 Corinthians 9:7 "Each of you should give what YOU have decided in your heart to give, NOT reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." now pls do tell me how did you guys go from the above passage to Tithe being a necessity?!?!?!?!?!?! bedspread: see ARRANT RUBBISH from people who obviously have never read the bible. iphi: Very similar to putting in the words "school fees" or "house rent". Very noble thing to do, but of course you know that you still need to settle those later, right? God's burden is light, it's not the load that breaks you but how you carry it. |

Young man don't be a False Prophet.. Giving and Tithing are Two different things. It's great to Give.....it's worth doing.... INFACT to Recive you Have to Give. Whether Rich or poor. And you Give According to your Wat you can. In giving u could be Assiting or Rendering a help... Tithe is not a HELP. Your Tithe is GOD'S SHARE OF WATEVER YOU RECIEVCE. The Law of the Tithe 22 Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each year. 23 Eat the tithe of your grain, new wine and olive oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks in the presence of the Lord your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name, so that you may learn to revere the Lord your God always. 24 But if that place is too distant and you have been blessed by the Lord your God and cannot carry your tithe (because the place where the Lord will choose to put his Name is so far away), 25 then exchange your tithe for silver, and take the silver with you and go to the place the Lord your God will choose. 26 Use the silver to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or other fermented drink, or anything you wish. Then you and your household shall eat there in the presence of the Lord your God and rejoice. 27 And do not neglect the Levites living in your towns, for they have no allotment or inheritance of their own. 28 At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year's produce and store it in your towns, 29 so that the Levites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. |
