PrecisionFx: Nice one. I shudder at the level of political illiteracy in Nigeria. Even an active politician like Rochas is saying such trash. With all the Northern vote they could only win by 2.5 million votes. So what if the middle belt chooses not to be a northern candidate 2mao? Will they still call Igbo votes insignificant? 1 Like |

Truth is always bitter. no amount of hate speech can change that fact.It will only worsen it. just try to love and appreciate the other regions and move forward. |

SlayQueenSlayer:But they won't listen. They like creating Enemies alot. That's just the simple truth. Benue is sharing borders with Enugu and Ebonyi State, from Benue to Enugu is approximately about 2hrs and same with Ebonyi State. We should have been tapping from each other and joining forces to fight this political elements, yet they call us Hausas and still laugh at us when we've got issues with the Fulanis killing the locals. That's the more reason even Benue will not for a day accept to join them or support them, talk more of other states in the Middle belt. The igbos keep shooting themselves to the leg and still yet complain of being treated bad. Hope they realize their mistakes early enough. |

fulanmafia: You deserve my frustration because your people (in the military at the time) created a fraudulent constitution that is almost impossible to alter/change especially if the 'almighty north' is not in support of it. It's like you northerners have been trained to give the answer in bolded albeit mischievously anytime the issue of restructuring is raised. Even Buhari gives same retort every now and then. But God pass una! We shall overcome!! |
Re: Okorocha: Hausas Can Win Election Without Igbos, Hence The Hausa-Yoruba Alliance by Mayorbb: 12:56pm On Sep 20, 2017 |
and if Yoruba's had voted GEJ do you think buhari will win? How will Yoruba vote for Jonathan when he marginalized them in his government but Buhari gave them chance of running mate for the second time? This Buhari gave the Igbo opportunities of running mate two times and they didn't vote for him. So, blame the Igbo for not supporting their own sons when need be. 1 Like |

zionmde: You are probably right with those alliances but the problem is that it is only on paper. The Igbos seem not too keen on building alliances. Of all ethnic groups in Nigeria, they need it more because it is in the nature of an Igbo to live in any parts of Nigeria unlike other groups. So building political alliances protect and further the course of your people and guarantee access to power or high level decision making positions. And when people wonder why Igbos find it easy to settle down in the north or southwest, and why you do not have northerners or southwesterners generally owning properties or investments in the southeast. The reason is simple. Southwesterners are generally tolerant and the ideology is live and let others live. For northerners, so far you don't go foul of their religious way of life, there is no problem. It is not that the southeasterners love Nigeria more by settling down in these places. Sometime it's simple economic decisions. As a southwesterners, I will think twice about investing in a place where locals will likely not give you a sense of belonging with the clamour for breakup. Not sure if Dangote has any investment in the southeast. |

zionmde:igbo+ hausa = Obasanjo hausa.+ yoruba = Buhari....this is how they know they can win without igbo. Igbo+yoruba =?? So you really stupidly think after all the insulting you Biafra have done to Hausa and Yoruba you think your equations will ever come? You IPOB have -50% brain. |
Re: Okorocha: Hausas Can Win Election Without Igbos, Hence The Hausa-Yoruba Alliance by musicwriter(m): 1:36pm On Sep 20, 2017 |
Now, they believe with the combined massive populations of Lagos and Kano, they no longer need Igbos to win, hence, the latest alliance between Hausa and Yoruba. That would mean Igbos are disadvantaged by default in the entity called Nigeria. If indeed Okorocha believes this and he's not in support of Biafra or restructuring, that would mean he's a mole in Igboland. |

GrandFinale2017: Simple truth is that Igbos have politically marginalised themselves with their own hands; how do they expect to be voted into power when they keep insulting the other tribes? They promote hate and tribal politics and have been reaping what they sowed - unfortunately, this botched agitation based on hate and blackmail has taken them more backwards than they currently realise. |

PrecisionFx:Stop lying to buttress your point - the whole SW did not vote for Buhari. Lot's of inaccurate analyses here. Go check the figures again. SW votes helped Buhari but SW people don't do absolute bloc voting as they are largely independent-minded people (do your research, even husbands and wives often go different parties in the SW) however the chunk of votes that were previously meant for GEJ helped APC in a huge way as GEJ already lost his goodwill in the vital Middle-Belt. Okorocha made some important points but Nigeria's politics is a bit more complex than that. Lagos: APC 792,460 PDP 632,327 Ekiti: APC 120,332 PDP 176,466 Ogun: APC 308,290 PDP 207,950 Ondo: APC 299,889 PDP 251,368 Osun: APC 383,603 PDP 249,929 Oyo: APC 528,620 PDP 303,376 Apart from Imo State (133,253), APC did not reach 18,000 votes in any other state in the SE and quite understandably the SS. Apart from Ekiti State (176,466) where they also won, PDP had over 200,000 votes in every other state in the SW. *People should do a better job of analyzing 2015 election result. The whole North is not Hausa. A vital bloc in the North helped GEJ in 2011 and he stupidly lost them in 2015. A huge chunk of SW voted GEJ in 2011 and he stupidly lost them in 2015. Buhari lost several times in the past because of these vital voting blocs. Not much changed in the core North and SE/SS in 2015 but the shift in the SW and the Middle-Belt was all Buhari needed. The lesson is that you must form and maintain strong alliances across Nigeria if you want to win. |
