i got posted to kano state. pls who's served there before? what's it like? do they treat us well? where are the best hospitals/centres to serve?

Kano is a nice place to serve. cheap food, accommodation, transport and the likes. there are quite a number of hospitals where you can serve; general, orthopedic etc and the pay is not bad at all. in fact you should count yourself lucky. some of the doctors where i served (Benue) were posted to schools cos of the few medical institutions in the state.

i think there cannot b any better place 4 u than in kano. maybe i shd kinda break it down. in my set 2008/2009, WE HAD 36 CORPERS WHEREAS THE STATE HAS 44 LGS. IF U WERE TO SHARE IT, OW WUD U? THIS AUTOMATICALLY RESULTED IN SERIES OF BRIBERY AMONG D LOCAL GOVT CHAIRMEN JUST TO OBTAIN ONE PER LG WHICH IS STILL NOT POSSIBLE FOR EVERY LG. IN THE VILLAGE SETTING, THEY PAY 100K+ WHILE IN THE TOWN, THEY PAY 80K+. IT IS REASONABLY FAIR COMPARED TO THE SW HERE.
