The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikeja has described the declaration of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as a terrorist group by the Federal Government as illegal and libelous. The NBA branch (otherwise known as Tiger Bar) called on the Federal Government to follow the laid down procedures of law in handling the issue of IPOB. Speaking at the association’s Secretariat in Ikeja yesterday on the state of the nation, the chairman of the branch, Mr. Adesina Ogunlana advised the government to have a serious rethink of the deployment of troops to South East while strengthening police presence and operation. Ogunlana also advised IPOB to moderate its rhetoric and pursue her objective legally. The NBA also stated that Freedom of Association is the inalienable rights of all human beings, including the citizens of Nigeria, adding that the demand for a separate country or nation from Nigeria as presently constituted is legitimate and not criminal. South Westerners and Yorubas, from the Ooni of Ife to Fayose, to these guys, have been at the forefront of the condemnation trailing the government's declaration while Ibo leaders look on. Yet these ignorant, spiteful, disrespectful and rude scrawny little shrimps who call themselves ipob yoots hesitate for a second to curse and insult Yorubas even when occasion doesn't demand it. Time and again, the Yorubas have stuck their neck out for these people and all they get in return is hate, blame, and raw insults. The Yorubas must have such large hearts I swear. I don't see other people doing this AFTER EVERYTHING! God bless the South Westerners. They are indeed the thread holding this fragile garment together. 3 Likes 1 Share |

omenka:Yoruba's believed in fair justice and equity an that's why some people think that we are fools whereas we are not. The fact that I don't against IPOB will not makes me becomes a Biafran if eventually Biafra country is actualized today. Yoruba hates oppression of the press administration and we have no apology for that. 1 Like |

@Omenka, you're very shallow and ignorant. Saw where you were commenting on a particular thread about the ultimatum given to the FG by IPOB where you stated that Abaribe should be in custody as one of the sureties as Kanu is nowhere to be found. It seems that you don't how bail works. Again, you're here again trying to cause a quarrel between the two Igbo and Yorubas on this political board. Indeed you are a butterfly thinking that is a bird. Continue with your tomfoolery 12 Likes |
