Isaiah 49:24 (KJV) Shall the prey be taken from the mighty,
or the LAWFUL CAPTIVE delivered?

My people, there are two categories of captives. The first is a person who unknowingly through no fault of his/her own falls into captivity. An example of this type would be a child that was covenanted by his/her parents before or after birth. The child had no say in the matter. He or she is probably unaware that any covenant was made on his/her behalf.
The second type of captive however is the one that knowingly enters into a covenant with the devil. It can be by joining a cult or engaging in sin and going against God's command. In this case, such a person can be described as a LAWFUL CAPTIVE.
When a person is a lawful captive, the devil has legal rights to hold him/her in bondage. Just like a criminal deserves to be in prison, so does a lawful captive deserve captivity.

THE FREEDOM OF A LAWFUL CAPTIVE:

If a man or woman is sentenced to life, the president of the country has constitutional powers to set such a man or woman free and when this happened, it is called presidential pardon.
In the case of a lawful captive, the only one that can set him/her free is God Almighty. Your freedom is very important because being a lawful captive is a worrisome situation since the devil will be using it to exercise authority and dominion over you.
Don't forget that at the point a lawful captive wants to break free, there will always be forces offering resistance. The words "break free" connotes the image of breaking a barrier before one can pass through. Don't ever think that your captors will just sit down and watch you walk out free. They will definitely put up a strong resistance. You therefore must also fight back through prayers and righteous living. Pls, if you must be free from the captivity of the enemy, you must seek the face of God continually and while doing this, you must forgive those that have offended you in one way or the other. In all, relax for your freedom is sure. SHALOM!
