Biafra: Senator Abaribe speaks on Nnamdi Kanu, possible arrest over IPOB leader

One of the sureties for Nnamdi Kanu and senator representing Abia South, Enyinnaya Abaribe, has stated that he cannot be held responsible if the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) fails to appear in court.
Nnamdi Kanu is expected to appear in court on October 17.


In a chat with Arise News on Thursday, Abaribe said prior to the intervention by the military, Kanu had always assured him that he would be in court on the said date.
“He was supposed to appear in court on October 17. It was our job as sureties to produce him in court. We have been speaking with him”, Abaribe said.
“I spoke with him around August 23. I had to invite him to a meeting with the South-east Senate caucus in my home at Obingwa, in Abia.
“We discussed and we told him what we felt and where he was going out of bound and we told him to confine himself to the laws of the land.
“Now, I spoke to him on September 11, and it was same day that the military moved into his place.
“So, he was supposed to be in court on October 17; on September 11, the military were doing exercise around his home and since then, nobody has seen him.”
The senator said he hasn’t been able to speak with Kanu since the incident occurred, because the number he used to use in reaching him (the IPOB leader) is off.
According to him, nobody knows Kanu’s whereabouts presently.

“The real question is why will you go one month before his appearance in court to effect an arrest, to kill him or whatever?
“So, we felt that you cannot hold me responsible if you didn’t wait for the date he was supposed to be in court."

I think the FG shot themselves on the leg or one may also say that they took the law into their hands. I believe that Kanu, his father and everyone in that house that day, were killed by the invading military, they didn't want anybody to give account of what transpired in that house that day. These FG's actions convinced me more;

1 The army quickly labelled IPOB terrorist group, seeing that they don't have the power to do so, they quickly tell the court to do it. This was done to cover up and justify their actions in order to get surpport from intl communities.

2 Buhari sent Nothern governors for what I call condolence visit. To calm the governors down.

3 Burutai and Idris visited is in line with point 2.

It's possible that Kanu and his parents were murdered that day. If proven that they were killed, I hope this will be one extra judicial killing that those involved must pay for their actions. Holding power or any position of authority does not confer the right to take another's life. Those involved should be sued for murder no matter how highly placed.

The murderous Nig. Army should produce him in court, since they cant wait till Oct.17 , they invaded the his house and possibly killed him and his parents and relatives............. They should help us produce him in court
