We are besieged by a smoke screen future,
Mediocrity, our leaders cognomen,
Though we toil to plant seeds to nurture,
The inevitability of a back drop looms ashen,
Many times we make audacious attempts at glory,
Sometimes we win or loose, all is history.
We are 57 years gone,
Proudly our loyalty is second to none,
Because though the end seems faraway,
We’ve pledged never to go astray,
We’ll never loose hope,
Because life’s trip is a thin rope.
Its a case of work in progress,
When done, we hope to digress,
Because faith abounds on us,
And for the love of our country,
We shall emerge triumphant from this ordeal,
And through the unscathed crucible we’ll pass,
When we are poised with battle wounds to heal,
We shall remember those fallen in mass.

For the love of our country,
Our jewel, our vivacious entity,
So emblazoned in goodness and dexterity,
We’ll forever remain one, hard as austenite,
We’ll surge forward, lethal as dynamite,
And we’ll sing the victory tune,
All we hope to do too soon.
