TEXT:"NOW about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church."-Acts 12:1

Time is the inevitable progression into the future, with the passing of present events into the past. Time is measured in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years. The death of James was his time of death, that is the reason Herod was able to kill him with the sword.

This is contrary to the believe of some persons, that if the church had prayed, he would not have been killed. But, when Peter was also arrested, the church prayed, Acts 12:5, but the church did not even believe in their prayer, that Peter would be released alive, Acts 12:15, yet Peter was released. This shows that, it was not yet his time of death. However, there are two sides to time: the Godkind of time and the Mankind of time.

In the Mankind of time, it begins from birth and ends in death. For instance, the time of Adam began when he was formed, Genesis 2:7, and ended when he died, Genesis 5:3-5. When a person is born, there will be a time for the person to attend schools: the primary school; the secondary school; the university, and or learning a trade or engaging in business.

Furthermore, after graduating from the schools, the person marries and bears children, and finally the person dies. This Mankind of time has fixed certain age for certain things to happen. And when the person gets to such age, and the expected has not happened, the society will put pressure on such a person to do the other wise. This may lead to bad consequences and even death. Remember, there is time for everything, Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.

Do not allow the Mankind of time to put you under pressure, because God can intervene in the time of man. This is what some persons call God's time. However, it is not! It's only his intervention in the affairs of man.

There are examples of God's intervention in the Bible: God visited Sarah, Genesis 21:1-5; Elisha prophesied to the Shunammite woman, 2 Kings 4:11-17; God sent his Son into the world, Galatians 4:4; the time of Jesus' arrest, Luke 22:53. All these and many more are God's intervention in the affairs of man.

Moreover, in Godkind of time, the time has a beginning, Genesis 1:1; John 1:1, but no end, Matthew 24:35. This time is eternal. As many that are living in this time will never die. When Jesus came first into the world, he lived first in the Mankind of time, and he died. Now! He is alive and is living in the Godkind of time, he shall never die again. He lives forevermore, Revelation 1:18.

In addition, as many that are living in this Godkind of time, will never die again like Jesus Christ. The question is: in whose time are you living? God's time or man's time.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
