Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, the national coordinator of the APGA Media Warriors, has cried out saying the All Progressives Congress (APC) was planning to use federal might during the forth-coming governorship election in Anambra state. Obigwe asked the people of the state to disregard the claim by Tony Nwoye of the APC that APGA was the party planning to rig the election.

“Tony Nwoye made the allegation with an evil motive of covering and diverting Nigerians attention from his orchestrated rigging plot. “It is very impossible for him (Nwoye) to win considering the mammoth supporters that stormed Governor Willie Obiano’s campaign flag-off yesterday.

“Even Tony Nwoye knew very well that for him to win the November 18th election can be likened to a camel passing through the eye of a needle, hence his consternation and plan to rig the election with federal might,” Obigwe said in a statement on Tuesday, October 3.

He warned the APC against carrying out their alleged plan in order to ensure a peaceful exercise on the set date. Obigwe said that the people of Anambra know what Governor Obiano had done for them and were willing to reward him with a second term in office.

Nwoye had said: “APGA feels they will rig the election but in this election there will be no rigging. “APGA and others campaign against APC labelling it Hausa party; they are deceiving themselves because all the contestants in this election are Anambra people.”

Evangelist, if APGA wins I am sure you will commend INEC for conducting a free and fair election and say it's victory for democracy. But if APC wins, you will say you told us about their plan to rig in conjunction with NA, NPF and INEC while APC will sing the aforementioned song.

I wonder when we will outgrow this 'politics of incitements' in Nigeria.
