In Iceland your last name is the name of your father's first name + "son" ( if you are a female with would be "dottir" (daughter) instead). For example, "Jonas Sveinsson" or "Arna Ásgrímsdóttir" meaning the son of svein and daughter of Asgrim.

What about the greeks that there names end with "s" and most dutch that there name start with "Van"? |
