believe it is time we stop being a weak-kneed and
become the great Woman we are. There are ladies
that the only way they survive is running after men for
money or prostitution which makes their end
miserable. Yes, we all know the country we found
ourselves is not encouraging at all but they say, “if
mountain did not go to Mohammed, Mohammed will
surely know its way to the mountain”. If our
government refuse to bring changes as promised then
let’s make those changes happen.
Deborah was at the war front to deliver Israel from the
hand of Gentiles, Esther delivered Mordecai and the
Jews from the hand of Haman. What are you doing to
deliver Nigeria from its present state?
We are not in the power, but what can we do to bring
the change forth? The good news is we can do many
things.
Let’s educate ourselves and change our mentality – If
we don’t change our mentality, even if change
eventually happens, the effect won’t be manifested in
our lives because of our mentality.
Someone said ‘’if 100 of me is in Nigeria, Nigeria will
be a better country if not best,’’ ask yourself if 5 of
you happens to be in Nigeria, what will happen? will
there be any difference? A musician said ‘’when I
leave this world I’ll leave not regret, I’ll leave
something to remember so everyone will know I was
here.’’ When you leave this world, do you want people
to forget you after 7 days or live with your memory
ever after? If you want to make an impact and bring
forth a change, you must:
Have Vision – Vision is God purpose for us. A wise
man once said ‘’there is nothing you want to make
happen that won’t happen’’. There is something in you
that make you special from others, it is what God
planted in you, it is inside every one of us. Dig what
God planted in you out and start working on it, you
don’t know how much you can do until you begin.
Think Big – Do not be discouraged about your present
state or your background. Remember Funmilayo
Ransom kuti’s father was just a slave when she stood
for Nigeria. As from today don’t live for yourself alone,
live for others too. know that you are a ladder to
some people to make the post of their destiny. Don’t
forget you can’t give what you don’t have, if you don’t
have life how can you give someone else.
Be disciplined – This is the most important of all,
force of discipline. Discipline is the ability to know
what to do when it requires. You will be discouraged
by family, friends, but don’t give up on your vision.
You might fall 100 times but don’t give up. If your
plan fails, change your plan and not your goal.
There was a time God wanted to destroy a land. He
said, “I sought for a man among them that should
make up a hedge and stand in the gap before me in
the land, that I should not destroy it but I found none.”
That is why am urging us to arise and stand for our
people. God is waiting for us to make up a hedge
and stand in the gap. We are the change Nigeria
need.
