I am still wondering why the army will be administering vaccines to children in a region where there is no mass outbreak of communicable diseases.

The most ridiculous part is that even UNICEF data shows Southeast is a region leading the north in immunization coverage ! Doesn't common sense dictate that you go to areas where there is poor immunization coverage for such exercises ? Why go to an area with almost 100% immunization coverage?

View this whole sordid activity against the backdrop of the hate speeches made by this administration against the Igbos as recently as October 1st this year. Not to mention the removal of the region from any infrastructural development agenda of the Buhari regime and purging of the military of Igbo officers and men. Let us even forget about the extra judicial executions, sudden disappearances of people kidnapped at night by military since their python dance II started.

This all reveals the sinister intentions behind the evil plot to suddenly "vaccinate" children against some monkey pox or some farse. They are out to cleanse their hated "enemies" using chemicals and viruses instead of bullets. Of course, starting with the little children who cannot resist.

I can only imagine their next move now that this plot has been exposed.

You cant tell if they inject it into people.

Meanwhile even if you catch them, they will simply deny as usual and come in the night to kidnap and murder you.

the listed affected states as Bayelsa, Rivers, Ekiti, Akwa Ibom, Lagos, Ogun and Cross Rivers.
So people saying that Igbo people are stupid and paranoid should really answer the question as to why not use that time and energy to work on states where peoples lives are in danger?

Do you have proof that the vaccines being offered are lethal? Be truthful for once. Such spurious allegations such as yours' need to be proven. What lab verified that those vaccines were toxic? Several professors, chemical scientists and lab technologists exist in the South east that can easily verify this. And none of them has conducted any research to show that the vaccines are polluted, toxic or lethal to the human body.

You went to school. You know that accusations such as the one made against the Army needs to be backed by proof, before it can make sense to observers. Why would the army want to inject little kids with something toxic, under the guise of administering a vaccine? It doesn't make sense. Where is the proof,?

Why would the army even vaccinate little children particularly without the notice and consent of their parents/guardians? In all your growing years in Nigeria, has the army ever vaccinated children? Is that a usual part of their medical outreaches? Why were parents not notified? DO they have the history of the children for possible allergies/reactions to the content of said vaccines? Why now and why the East despite glaring humanitarian crises in the war-torn, disease-ridden North?

Go back and read the story again. The Army had not started the vaccinations. They were actually seeking consent from the schools and parents, by notifying them of the vaccination programme in order to get their support. Instead of providing consent sought by the Army, the parents took their children and fled. Please provide any info from any parent who said his children were vaccinated without his consent!

The Army has participated in vaccination programmes in IDP camps and a few areas in the North, in the past. They conduct medical outreaches regularly in various parts of the country. Till today, the Army hospital in various communities remains the only source of medical care in many places. I have received good quality treatment at subsidised rates at an Army hospital before.
