Lol@posh, some parts yeah but definitely not southend. It can be as rough as Fvck especially, the high street is as dead as a door knob. The recession killed a lot shops, now it's full of poundlands and pawnbrokers But adventure island is lit, got a couple of casinos, don't club much here (full of pimply kids).
Still thinking about Akon though, my partner's birthday is next month and I asked if he wanted that as a pressie but he's fronting. I asked I have even offered a driving day experience at the Silverstone circuit, again no real answer. And then you men will be like women are difficult.
If you are to visit, come in the summer. There are a few nice steakhouses.

I go to London town like once month, usually to get my hair sorted. Going this afternoon actually for the same reason.

Since you are a self confessed foodie, I can recommend a couple of nice places in central London for good grub, Italian, Brazilian etc..

In Norfolk eh, way past Norwich? Either ways you don't have to travel as far London if you don't want to, Chelmsford is enroute to you, some nice bars there.
But I get what you mean if clubbing isn't really your thing. It isn't mine either, it's hard staying awake after 12 am.

Still, you have some nice beaches there, Ipswich isn't too bad. I bet it feels much nicer in the summer. Come to think about it, everything seems nicer in the summer.
