That is why it is called a miracle . The ordained way is to die once and face judgement but since God is all powerful , he defied that and brought Lazarus back to life . Lazarus still faced an ultimate end - the fate of every physical or material thing .

However, meaning that the Word of God tells us that it is appointed for men to die only once, and after which comes judgment does not mean Jesus does not have all power and his authority to raise the dead from *sleeping* so they could live and die 'the second time' for judgment.

Remember? As soon as Jesus passed out and died on the cross, those who *slept* In the graves came back to life and went into Jerusalem to testify.

Literally, the Bible uses the word *sleep* for those who are *dead*, because such dead persons are not all totally dead. Hebrews 9 vs 27 instead suggests that everyone must die at least once; it does not state that everyone must die exactly one time. Some die once and others more than once.

27 Everyone must die once. Then they are judged. - Hebrews 9 vs 27

This has to be the case because there is no other witness — by the account of 2 or 3 witnesses shall truth be established —in Scripture to the idea that a man must only die exactly once.
