That is how exam should be. Look at the pattern of the questions, it's not asking for any definition or testing your cramming power. It is asking for application of what you have learned from the course that's why the questions come with "how", asking you to relate whatever theory of the course into real scenario. It's a good exam. Exam should not be made too difficult nor too cheap.

bros... a brother was just joking! na! ... know the first law... know who a capitalist or capitalism entails! ... I think that law talks about energy translating into other forms.,, rather than being destroyed! ... then take into cognisance ... how our resource... are used! talking about the non renewable once... like crude oil, coal,,, limestone... etc! this stuffs need to be used with care and also properly!... but if you look at that law... if someone look at it from another perspective..., they should be no cause for alarm... since the usage of this resources won't mean they are wasted or destroyed... but rather ... changed to other form! which might or are still useful or harmful... what ever! so translate to another economic value!

Exactly. But most Nigerian lecturers believe that the harder the question the better for them. To worsen it,some say " give exactly how I taught in class "

Just the way questions are supposed to be set. A clear departure from the custom of "what is/are..., list 3/4...., state/define...." questions that will make you spend 5 years in school studying Engineering without knowing the relevance of the laws of energy.
