Leicester City have sacked manager Craig Shakespeare just four months after he signed a three-year deal to take the job on a permanent basis after Ranieri departed from the club.

The Foxes are third from bottom in the Premier League and have not won any of their past six league matches. Shakespeare, 53, succeeded title winner Claudio Ranieri in February, initially on a temporary basis.

After steering the Foxes away from trouble to finish in 12th place, he was given the job permanently in June. Shakespeare won eight of his 16 games in charge last season, and led the club to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Rumors has it that the 1-1 draw with West Brom on Monday prompted his departure. The last time Leicester went six league matches without a victory, Ranieri was sacked - nine months after leading them to the title.

I wonder why they fired the coach that won the EPL for them. The dismal performance of a team is largely the fault of the players and not the coach

I think the coach was performing well and they are in the rebuilding stage so things will take time

Coaches are hired and fired. I knew he would be sacked after last night's match. They have underperformed this season compare to when he took over last season. I hope he finds a job soon.

What are we waiting for to fire Buhari who has failed woefully for the past two years to deliver any of the positive change he promised?
The only change that we have seen are:

- higher fuel prices after subsidy removal.
- inflation of food prices.
- higher exchange rates
- more kidnappers, criminals and Fulani herdsmen.

Come to think of it,who hires a world-renowned playwright as a football manager. It was always gonna end up a tragedy. #AsIsWrittenInTheStars. Farewell,Shakespeare, for the curtain has indeed fallen on thy act. (exeunt)

There is this popular yoruba adage " pasan ti won fi na iyale won toju e fun iyawo meaning: the cane used to flog the first wife will also be used to flog the new wife or second wife.

Shakespare should have known when he took over from Raineri.
