My View: Origin Of The Universe ( the bible And Scientific Correlation) by betterABIAstate: 1:31pm On Oct 20, 2017
For scientific minds and those interested in science only.

My view: The correlation between the "bigbang" theory of the origin of the universe and how the bible described the origin of the world in the book of Genesis.

At any point in this article, make psalm 90:4 a vital reference point.
God said; A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.
So we are going to use this statement God made in Psalms 90:4 to explain Genesis chapter 1 in correlation with the "big bang" theory. Note that, each time God was quoted in the Bible, he was always not specific about time, only PSALMS 90:4 was only to describe God's time. From the promise he made to Abraham and Sarah, promise of rescuing the Israelites from the land of Egypt, the time required for them to get to the promise land, the coming of Jesus Christ and now rapture, God never gave a time. Our time is not God's time (Psalm 90:4)

Let's look at a quick overview of the big bang theory:

Scientists believe that our universe began with one enormous explosion of energy and light, which we now call the Big Bang. This was the singular start to everything that exists. The beginning of the universe, the start of space, and even the initial start of time itself. This theory suggested that the beginning of the universe was strictly based on light energy and that this explosion gave rise to the first atomic particles; electrons, neutrons and protons. These particles coalesced to become stars, planets and galaxies.
A very important expect of this theory is that, scientists believe that the universe never had a form until the bigbang.
The formation of atomic particles, planetary bodies, stars and galaxies happened several light years apart.

Now let's take a look at Genesis chapter 1:

God created heaven and earth in 6days and rested on the 7th day, now we have to put the book of psalms 90:4 into consideration here, these 7days in God's eyes are like thousands and millions of years in our eyes. The universe and earth wasn't formed in 6days according to the bigbang theory, it's only six days in God's eyes, not in our own eyes (psalms 90:4)

The book of Genesis 1: 1-2 " In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters"
the bigbang theory also suggested that the universe was formless, empty and light wasn't in existence.

Genesis 1 vs 3 "and God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light". The bigbang theory also suggested that the universe started with a single explosion of light energy, it explains that the basis of the universe is light.

In the first day (a day for God, thousands and millions of years for us) God created day and night.
Now read through the creation of the earth in the book of Genesis putting the book of psalms 90:4 into consideration, you will see that these things didn't just happen in days.
Though the book Genesis was taking explicitly about the Earth's formation, it can be used to also explain the formation of other terrestrial bodies, which the passages terms "heavens".

The formation of earth didn't happen in a day, according to the bigbang theory; the planetary bodies were formed as a result the coalescing of atomic bodies over thousands and millions of years, this also affirmed what the bible is saying.

If you also look at the creation of the first man "Adam", it didn't just happen like boom, in a day, Adam was formed, No. You have know that it took thousands of years, this also explains the concept of evolution of living things.

Putting the book of Psalms 90:4 and Genesis 1 in correlation with the Bigbang theory, you will notice that they are saying the same thing, the difference is that the Bible was talking from "God's eyes" perspective and the bigbang is giving scientific details of the day to day creation and formation of the universe. Both agreed that the basis of creation was light, the bigbang theory doesn't know the cause of the explosion or source of the light, the bible gave that answer, God was the source of the light.
