Jos is the capital of Plateau state located at the North Centre part of Nigeria

Jos is also the commercial heart of the state as there are lot of migrants both from within Plateau State and outside Plateau state whose businesses and investments are in Jos.

Jos often referred to as “the Russia of Nigeria” is unarguably the coldest city in Nigeria, although there are doubts that another place in Plateau state called Pankshin is the coldest in Nigeria,but Jos is still seen and referred to as the coldest in Jos.

Due to its altitude, and presence of so many rocks and hills,Jos has so many beautiful sight seeing places.No wonder Plateau State is referred to as “Home of Peace and Tourism”.

It’s that time of the year when the frequent unexpected rainfall in Jos stops in preparation for the upcoming Harmattan weather. Hehehe it’s that time of the year.

It’s that time of the year when you dare not bath in the Morning with cold water, no matter how strong you are. Even if you boil the bathing water, you dare not allow it to stay long exposed before using it,as it will get cold in a very short time. You dare not waste time in the bathroom before running back to put on your thick covering.

It’s that time of the year when your lips gets so dry that it begins to pill, you’ve gat no other option than to put on wet lips or Vaseline to atleast reduce the dryness. It’s that time of the year when you hardly see from anything distace away as the atmosphere is covered with mists and fog.

It’s that time of the year when you start battling against Cough, Catarrh, Pneumonia and other ailments associated with cold. When you cover every part of your body, not to give the cold a chance.

It’s the time of year when you begin to get tasty regularly with requires you to drink water frequently due to the dryness.Your body always getting dried and white and requires you to apply Vaseline or any other moisturiser to reduce the dryness of skin.

It’s that time of the year when it becomes so cold in the morning, becomes ,no so cold but very dry in the afternoon, and then very cold in the evening.It’s the time of the year.

It’s the time of the year when we put on thick Jackets, foot socks, hand gloves, not corresponding wears just to fight and prevent the Cold.

It’s the Harmattan season in Jos.
Harmattan breeze in the air, we can feel it and smell it.
