I actually thought stories of men of God’s randy lifestyles were only made up to taint their images by their ‘enemies’. But on second thought, this was not the first time or was it even the tenth time I was hearing something of this nature live and direct from the horse’s mouth.

I was flabbergasted and that is putting it lightly.

Come to think of it, I have heard stories.

Stories of Priests defiling young boys in their parishes.
Stories of Pastors sleeping with the female folks in their congregation.
Stories of so called men of God getting other women pregnant.
Stories of married Pastors heading big churches lusting and asking sexual favors from young girls they have helped nurture in the Faith.
Stories of anointed men seeking the ‘anointing’ in between the legs of other women.
Stories of Preachers in the guise of prayer, preying on solution seeking women.
Stories of Priests sleeping with female members of their parish.

I have heard stories.

Stories of people leaving churches because of a Pastor’s sexual escapades.
Stories of unbelievers using such scandals to berate the church and accuse it of immorality.
Stories of people looking for any reasons whatsoever to condemn a man of God and question his calling.
Stories of ladies loosing faith in the church and backsliding as a result of such advances from these men of God.
Stories of ‘church haters’ using such impropriety to shame the church as a whole and question it’s existence.
Stories of victims questioning God and doubting other men of God.

My readers, I have really heard stories and I’m sure you have to.

But come to think of it, why are we surprised at such occurrences?

Are Pastor’s less men than most men are?
Are Priests born without a fully functional penis?
Are Prophets anointed against the ‘spirit of sex’?
Are Evangelists born without a longing to be touched?
Are men of God immune to the softness of a woman’s breasts?
Are Bishops spiritually resistant to being Hot?

Pastors are men before they are Pastors. They have a functioning dick before they had a functioning grace. They probably had sex before they were anointed. Priests experienced puberty and the longing for a woman before they took their clerical celibacy vow. They get Hot too. The same testosterone flowing through a womanizer is flowing through that anointed Bishop. Men of God have sex and enjoy it (with their wives). They admire breasts and ass like any other man would. Before they started speaking in unknown tongues, they knew and had felt the contour on a woman’s buttocks.

Paul (the Prophet) was once Saul (the Christian killer). Saul (the forgotten King that committed suicide) was once Saul (the first King of Israel). The first Saul changed from bad to anointed while the second Saul changed from anointed to bad. People change.

Anointing doesn't make a man stop womanizing/stealing/doing drugs. Only self control, grace and the love of God can.

Instead of judging them, pray for them. Pray for the Prophet over you to be able to overcome sexual temptation. Pray for more grace over his life because I can tell you that without grace, overcoming sexual temptation is a herculean task.

And for the ladies caught in this very unfortunate path. Stop feeling worthless. Don’t look down on yourself. Stop beating yourself up. Don’t blame yourself. Don’t question God. Don’t let depression eat you up. It’s not your fault. The man is solely responsible. Forgive and pray for him. Pray for his wife and entire family. Forgive yourself. Focus on the Word of God. Let go. Move on.

….and for the men of God reveling in immorality, remember the same Word of God you preach is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow, as it judges the thoughts and purposes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 (International Standard Version).

As a word is enough for the wise, a Word is enough for the anointed.
