And the senate, how much have they remitted in form of taxes? You want to tarnish the image of a world renowed good woman, foolish people. |

The intent was good. Th money should have been rapidly deployed for development and for projects. Go to New York, you will see a lot of roads, towers developed by the Ports Authority, Postal Service etc. But here, they would rather send the money to one madam in Aso Rock for elections. NOI should have known that. And of course, under no circumstances should she has asked FIRS to spend tax income. That is terribly wrong. Senate, it is time to correct the wrongs. |

Desyner:no waste your time on that dude. Na BMC agent him/she be. They are programmed to function,act,reason and talk in a particular way. By their thoughts and statements one can easily pick them out from the crowd. The workings of a programmed software or tool is a reflection of the ways and attitudes of the creator of the programme itself. So one shouldn't be surprised with the propagandist nature of this current APC government. A serious Senate devoid of any hidden agenda will not just indict NOI,that is if she is found wanting,but will first of all call on the heads of all the MDA's involved. We always see through the minds of this govt in every of their stupid moves |

Desyner: Whenever the report comes out is irrelevant, what is relevant is whether the report is true or false. I would have expected Okonjo Iweala to deny the reports or at worst explain why she issued such illegal memo. I still no not understand the connection between Maina's reinstatement and Okonjo iweala's memo, causing us to lose trillions of naira. Are you now saying even if Buhari gets away with the absurd reinstatement and maina goes scot free, that subsequent government cannot arrest and prosecute Maina because of Okonjo Iweala's memo to MDAs? Probably they would add Okonjo Iweala's granting of import duty waivers worth trillions of naira also. 5 Likes 1 Share |

wirinet:The timing matters alot. A memo that's over 3 years oid shows up 3 days after maina saga, it isn't coincidental BMC agent. |

EternalTruths:which question are you expecting senate to ask her before releasing this information to the public. Whe she is invited to the senate,she can now say what she likes because am sure she have no excuse whatsoever to defend this fraud. The constitution is very clear on this to remitt all the money generated by agencies to the federal government account. Why on earth would she say only 25 percent out of 100 should remitted. Am a federal civil servant and know what am saying. With all these revenue generated by the agencies they will still not get money to finace government expenditures. 98 % of total of that 75% is for their personal spending. She just created an avenue for them to shop money. 2 Likes 1 Share |

wirinet:hmmn...from thousands of miles away from naija sef I dey perceive ur BMC foul stench. Tell your APC ziz zag govt to remove the body odour of corruption from themselves then Nigerians will take them seriously. It's so appalling for any reasonable Nigerian to even see maina walking free,let alone be reinstated in a supposed "corruption free" government. Someone that should be arrested immediately he stepped into the country. |

wirinet: Don't get yourself worked up bro. I have come to realize that it is the Nigerian way. Catch a political thief, and rather than address the actions of that thief, all you will hear is "He is not the only one. What about X, Y and Z?" Political, religious and tribal affiliations have clouded our better judgment. Now they've labelled you BMC. Nigerians are Nigeria's problem. Not the leadership, but the so-called masses. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Desyner: What timing and who was timing? Did you read the report at all, or you just saw the heading that mentioned Okonjo Iweala and immediately felt the urge to defend " our sister". In case you missed it this is what the report said;
It was the senate that was investigating Alleged Misuse, Under-Remittances and fraudulent activities by MDAs, and in defence the MDAs presented the memo issues by Okonjo Iweala as excuse for under remittances. Mind you, the senate committee is made up of APC and PDP members, so your BMC defence will not fly. 2 Likes 1 Share |
