Each area in Lag is perfect for its residents; that's why you see people defending their area, a typical case of my mum's soup is sweater than your mum's. It's a factor of where u work and it's proximity or ease of access to where you live. While those working at Ikeja will tell you that Agege and Ogba are the next best thing, those working at Apapa will prefer Festac, Satellite or even deep inside Okoko. Those working at the island will prefer Lekki/Ajah.

But if I am to say, then a lot of places ranks better than yaba. Surulere would most certainly make the list before yaba and ikeja. Your list is not comprehensive. It doesn't capture value of property and proximity to the business districts. Ikoyi is definitely the best place to live in Lagos but how many average lagosian can afford a house there? This is an area where cost of boysquaters self-con is equivalent to cost of 3 bedroom flat in some other areas.

If I am ever going to live in Yaba. I would probably just not use a car or anything flamboyant.

The robbery of things there is extremely high. Anytime I see someone come to report a case of lost laptop at work , I can bet it happened in Yaba 90% of all times.

Badoo is long wiped out of Ikorodu, so far Ikorodu is peaceful, affordable and a has a good mixture of rich and poor leaving together.

u dey mind op, Ikorodu is one of the best, most comfortable and good arena to receive fresh air

security issues has been resolved

low demand of house rents

ability to secure land if you're really serious




I am at ogba but I'm already missing Ikorodu. all those places he mentioned are just overrated. come and imagine smelling places around Ikeja and ogba sef. houses are built together, no fresh air whenever there is dark out

I totally disagree with the list, like me someone mentioned up, Agege. Agege/Iju is one of the best place to live, the 'only' problem is good roads in some places, light is 'almost' 22hours, water supply by Lagos state, very good and affordable schools, I can go on and on...
