Go and check for the details of that Mexican race before you mislead people here.

Hamilton finished 9th in the race but he had won the entire season because he had a clash with the only person that would have competed with him which was vettel. Hamilton only needed to have finished 5th to win even if vettel came first.

They will call you the best until you make a mistake, then they will come for your head.

yea, he finished nine, in that particular race. it just like in a champion league you won like 5-0 in your home and you lose 5-1 at the opponent home. they were right.
