From next year, Nigeria’s first locally manufactured electric and solar powered cars will be on the streets. This follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by a firm, Oldang International Limited with Chinese companies, Halkoff Logistics and Hornson Development Limited, to produce non-fossil energy cars that should begin Nigeria’s entry into the global shift to electric cars. The project has strong backing of the Sokoto State government.
