It all started with popular actor, Kolade Oyewande, whose dad, Pa Oyewande Azim Oduola died on Tuesday 17th October 2017, at age 70. The entire family however held a classy burial for him, which started with a service of songs at Phase 11, Fish Farm Estate, Ikorodu, Lagos. The funeral service followed on 24th at Zurakatau Street, Matogun, Ogun State. On Monday 23 October, another tragedy occurred in star actress, Toyin Aimakhu’s household as her dad joined his ancestors. Toyin’s sister, Fatimah Ogunsanya broke the news after she posted the below information on social media, “It saddens me to the core of my being that my amazing dad has gone to be with the Lord. Pastor B.E. Aimakhu recently clocked 77 years old on October 1 ”. The worse scenario took place in Abisogun family in Ibadan when the wife of the family, Funke Alhassan Abisogun, an actress and wife of Taofeek Alhassan Abisogun, a Yoruba movie director died 4 days after she gave birth. 3 days after, the baby boy was named Ridwannullahi, Olayinka Amobi, Damilare, Enitan Ayodeji Al Hassan Abisogun. Information claimed that the ceremony was held quietly in Ibadan, Oyo State on 25th October 2017. The most recent, was that of Mercy Aigbe’s dad who died last weekend.
