Nairalanders, I was invited for an interview to one of these network provider centres, then i was asked what is sim card called in my language?hahahaha my people, i never knew the answer till today. In igbo, hausa,yoruba and others please help me out what is sim card called in your language? |

I don't know in my language but in hausa I guess it's called sim cadt, the 'd' is slightly pronounced |

They just wanted to test your language creativity and reasoning ability. No language in Nigeria has a perfect name for sim card because it isn't an indigeneous word here but there are ways of converting non-indigeneous words or names to local words. I am a Benin guy. In Benin language,every noun must start with a vowel. A non-living noun must start with vowel ''e'' or ''i'' in the Benin letters of alphabet. For ''sim card'', it becomes ''esim card'' 1 Like |
