Most Viewed Nigerian Music Video

Earlier this year, Yemi Alade’s 2014 smash hit Johnny was announced the most watched video by a female African on YouTube with about 72 million views. A few months later, Johnny has surpassed that record to become the most watch Nigerian music video ever on YouTube with to 79 million views- and counting.

The title for the most viewed Nigerian music video on YouTube was formerly held by P-Square’s tribute to Michael Jackson ‘Personally’ which was released in 2013. Personally now stands as the second most viewed Nigerian music video on YouTube with 78, 897, 625 views while Johnny holds the number one position with 79, 009, 968 views.

Yemi Alade is expected to release her fourth music project themed ‘Black Magic’ before the end of the year.
