Buhari As A Mistake Nigerians Should Never Repeat by shehuolayinka(m): 8:06pm On Nov 04, 2017
Monday is a five year old boy. His father owns a mechanic workshop. A business that was thriving and booming way before Buhari’s ascension, just like everyone before the man made recession started.

What riles and irritate Nigerian mostly about corruption practises, is the one perpetrated by government officials, who should know better.

You expect a local government chairman, governor, Assembly members and President to be sound and devoid of insanity and spirits of stealing and embezzlement.

You expect a government to know his right from left. A government official that can’t explain the cause of diseases has no business in governance, same as one who believes in propaganda.

Prior to 2015 election, there was media frenzy about the administration of Goodluck Jonathan. Everywhere, major media houses, print, broadcast and online pushed to our throat the wanton embezzlement and insensitiveness of the government led by Goodluck Jonathan to the suffering of Nigerians.

Just like everyone, Monday’s father got hit and became dissatisfied, with the administration of Former president Goodluck Jonathan.

The everyday release of outrageous missing figures and even the annoying silence from the Otueke man, infuriated him.

He like many, voted against the Jonathan and accepted the change agenda, sold by Mohammedu Buhari and his APC faithful.

He was hopeful of a better Nigeria. Believed Buhari, an ascetic and believed to have unquestionable character. He saw hope and believed the messiah would usher in changes, make the present situations even more soothing to him and those around him.

Two years and five months after Buhari became president, Monday’s father mechanic business collapsed, forcing him to withdraw his wards from school. He now hustle between being an Okada rider and his mechanic business, which could only fetch money for food and house rent.

For Monday and his siblings, school was a no no. He had to wait for everything to be better. He had to wait for Mohammedu Buhari to clean the augean stable supposedly created by Goodluck Jonathan.

Two years after, the family, just like many others are still waiting for the administration of President Mohammedu Buhari to clean up Nigeria and usher in the desire change.

Monday’s family story sums up the life of a typical Nigerian since the administration of believed Mr. Nonsense started in May 2015.

No one can argue the fact that former president Goodluck Jonathan administration was fantastically corrupt and a no good for Nigeria, but the current government ain’t different and way worst.

Though Nigerian problem can’t be overly blamed on him. Damn we can’t blame Buhari for the stupidity and outright insensitiveness of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi to his people, nor can we blame the illiteracy and embarrassing display by the Meningitis governor.

Same we can’t blame him for the cluelessness and backward thinking of most governors in the country.

Nothing is more insulting than claiming to be what you are not. The much waited messiah has arrived, bringing with him to his followers and distance supporters like me, disappointment that is legendary.

The incorruptible man, is now supervising a government infested with legion of corrupt personality.

An enabler, supporter and guidance to what he swore to fight if Nigerians queued behind him.

An unabashed individual over his defending of corruption personified individuals even with glaring and visible evidence.

The same Mohammedu Buhari in 2008, openly said late dictator, Sani Abacha, never stole from Nigeria, but he wholeheartedly collected millions of dollars returned to Nigeria from one of the country, the late military madman hid some of the stolen wealth.

A person who dines and wines with the devil, certainly won’t be different from him.

Mohammedu Buhari is ethnic bias and tribalistic leader. His silence in the face of Fulani herdsmen murderous atrocities and character whenever besieged communities stage reprisal attacks against the terrorists group, explains the kind of leader he is.

He is an anachronism, stultify, parachronistic leader. No country develop with that kind man as a leader.

His use of reverse Robin Hoodism, has made the common man more poor and their wards deprived of basic needs and necessities.

His unplanned and not thought well policies, gave birth to the second Buhari-economy-recession. First in 1984.

One would expect baba as fondly called to champion unity and harmony amongst the people, but this seem the reverse.

Most of us shouldn’t be blame for supporting and campaigning for him, we wanted a better and prosperous Nigeria, not as being currently championed by him.

Buhari administration is bias, grandstanding and a government for the elites. He, just like every past leader since independence, have always seen the populace as not worthy of recognition and development.

Buhari government is a mistake that Nigerians should learn from and never repeat again.

I agree

It is for the North and West who voted him to power not to repeat the mistake. The East and South who didnt vote for him have been vindicated.

However, I think thst the North and west will repeat the same mistake again in 2019, they have no choice.

Voting for the President of Nigeria isnt about ability to deliver, it is about ethnicity.

Just one of the glaring facts that Nigeria isnt a nation.

You guys can bleat all you like.

We are still very happy with sending your thieving principals back to the stone age in 2015.

If in doubt go and read the WB report on Nigeria's economic performance via this link: http://punchng.com/nigeria-jumps-24-places-in-ease-of-doing-business-buhari-osinbajo-applaud-ranking/

Or you can go witness the joy of your fellow citizens in the North East, which the ineffectual buffoon had ceded to Boko Haram, as an admittance his incompetence.

You can also join yourself in Metuh's case by begging Uncle hero to obey the rule of law (a concept that he still does not understand, 2 years after) and respect a lawful subpoena to appear as a defence witness. Last I heard hero was asking for N1Billion appearance fee. You people will still wail when his a'ss is dragged to court by force.

You might also want to read up about constitutional democracy and devolution of powers while at it, it would interest you to learn that the president cannot interfere with government at the state and local level. So hold you state governor accountable for their failures!

The days of mindless stealing and cleuless leadership at the Federal level are gone for good.

We are upbeat about the future, where useless state governors and local govt chairmen will be held to account
