Why can't Nigerians just post articles without being so superficial? Would it be alright for an unattractive person to be killed? Does beauty or a lack of it make a human being more human or less human? This only shows the value this country has placed on human life: close to zero.

A student of Civil Engineering department of the Bayero University in Kano, Husseina Nalado and a leader of the Shi’ia sect have allegedly been killed by mobile policemen in Kano state.

Trouble started after the police intercepted the annual Arbaeen annual trek of the group in the town. A witness revealed that sect members were intercepted at the popular Lado overhead bridge along Zaria road in Kano.

The policemen allegedly stopped them by firing teargas and live bullets. Many people sustained injuries in the incident. Kano is among the states that have outlawed the activities of the group.

Ibrahim Zakzaky, leader of the sect, has been in detention since December 2015 when his followers clashed with some soldiers.

I disagree with all the lawless killings going on in my country Nigeria.

However; no matter where in the world, if you publicly identify and act in the leadership of a proscribed(outlawed) group, be assured of a heavy-handed response from the Government. See Sri Lanka vs LTTE, Syria vs ISIS and Spain vs Catalonia for recent examples of such responses.

Sadly,less lethal means of law enforcement are apparently not acceptable to NPF and her officers. This makes regular law enforcement situations a hazard for both officers and citizens.
