Kundagarten:Says who? Where does VAT come from ? Where does duty com? Where does excise come from? Anyway regardless of where the money comes from we do not want bridges connecting us when you go that is the point you are deluded if you believe the FG budget comes just from the Niger Delta. When Biafra leaves the SS remains part of Nigeria Of course The rejected SE keep trying to attach to the SS by force.Pathetic 3 Likes 1 Share |

It was Dino that raised the alarm. Thanks Dino for a good oversight job. If not for this alarm we wouldn't have gotten this explanation. They are sitting up now knowing the public is watching. Project initiated by GEJ is now being acclaimed as the best and fastest to initiate by this regime. A government that will never give credit to whom it's due but quick to blame. Thanks once more to Senator Dino. One of the best in legislative oversight. |

the truth would always come out... a few months ago, the narrative on this issue was that the last administration had squandered the money... Fashola did not deem it fit to clarify the issue then... he let it fester because it made the previous administration look bad... now that more revelations are coming out that seems to implicate him, he is running from pillar to post trying to clarify matters... well, I don't think Fashola has done much wrong... at least not yet... the $1b was part of funds raised for the power sector by the previous administration, it was not looted & that money is now going to be part of our investment in the power sector... the NAss should not politicise what would benefit the masses... 2 Likes |

Libel should be criminalized with stiffer penalty to offenders. Members of Nigeria's parliament seem to put the minister of PWH in a very disadvantaged position because he refused to play ball with them. Can you imagine senators alleged $350 million part of Eurobond released in 2013 has gone missing under Fashola? Just like that? 3 Likes 1 Share |

NigerDeltan: If you don't understand, you ask question. What is the use of contingency funds? Contingency funds is to take care of things unplanned for things that happens. For example, flood washing away a bridge or road, things like that. Do you know you can't spend money not appropriated? So without contingency funds, you have to approach the Senate to appropriate, then look for money to fund the appropriation. Which may take gods know how long, you may not have funds to even take care of it. For the Niger bridge, it is a multi year project. Are you sure if you appropriate more money to it, you will spend everything? Do you remember the time ministries do all they can to spend (waste and steal) money by year end to ensure they finish their allocation? is that what you want to happen? Haba!!! When did 10 billion Naira become paltry again? Haba!! 1 Like 1 Share |
I am an elecgtrical engineer by training and i know for a fact that Engineers didn't like the fact that a lawyer is heading 3 ministries Engineers see as their own. Or Fashola understands this ministries better than the professionals in that ought to be there? Maybe an engineer should be allowed to head ministry of justice, or ministry of health, then you'll boldly make this statement that it doesn't matter. |

dabeto: You read upside down It was not the project that he ascribed to GEJ. He said the Eurobond loan was taken in 2013 by GEJ govt, part of which, NSIA invested and earning interest. The “fastest” project came in much later through General Electric. 1 Like 1 Share |

@2n2K The “fastest” project came in much later through General Electric.
"Much later" is the issue here. The Eurobond was for the purpose used for which he refused to acknowledge that the project was initiated by past government. The statement was carefully crafted to omit that and appropriate the initiative. |

Orji uzor kalu dangote and the rest are enjoying relative peace than their state of origin. just because someone is doing the right thing. 1 Like 1 Share |
