But the money is not coming from your people or your region.
Only Niger Delta people are qualified to state where money should be spent.
Says who? Where does VAT come from ? Where does duty com? Where does excise come from?

Anyway regardless of where the money comes from we do not want bridges connecting us when you go that is the point

you are deluded if you believe the FG budget comes just from the Niger Delta.
When Biafra leaves the SS remains part of Nigeria

Of course The rejected SE keep trying to attach to the SS by force.Pathetic

It was Dino that raised the alarm. Thanks Dino for a good oversight job. If not for this alarm we wouldn't have gotten this explanation. They are sitting up now knowing the public is watching.
Project initiated by GEJ is now being acclaimed as the best and fastest to initiate by this regime. A government that will never give credit to whom it's due but quick to blame.
Thanks once more to Senator Dino. One of the best in legislative oversight.

the truth would always come out...

a few months ago, the narrative on this issue was that the last administration had squandered the money...

Fashola did not deem it fit to clarify the issue then... he let it fester because it made the previous administration look bad...

now that more revelations are coming out that seems to implicate him, he is running from pillar to post trying to clarify matters...

well, I don't think Fashola has done much wrong... at least not yet...

the $1b was part of funds raised for the power sector by the previous administration, it was not looted & that money is now going to be part of our investment in the power sector...

the NAss should not politicise what would benefit the masses...

Libel should be criminalized with stiffer penalty to offenders.

Members of Nigeria's parliament seem to put the minister of PWH in a very disadvantaged position because he refused to play ball with them.

Can you imagine senators alleged $350 million part of Eurobond released in 2013 has gone missing under Fashola? Just like that?

The man that spent N78m to design his personal website, when asked he said he doesn't sign cheque

He inserted N20bn in 2017 budget as miscellaneous even when he budgeted a paltry N10bn for second Niger bridge

Did you read the letter before commenting? I guess not. Now go back, read the letter and edit your response accordingly.

If you don't understand, you ask question.

What is the use of contingency funds? Contingency funds is to take care of things unplanned for things that happens. For example, flood washing away a bridge or road, things like that. Do you know you can't spend money not appropriated? So without contingency funds, you have to approach the Senate to appropriate, then look for money to fund the appropriation. Which may take gods know how long, you may not have funds to even take care of it.

For the Niger bridge, it is a multi year project. Are you sure if you appropriate more money to it, you will spend everything? Do you remember the time ministries do all they can to spend (waste and steal) money by year end to ensure they finish their allocation? is that what you want to happen? Haba!!! When did 10 billion Naira become paltry again? Haba!!

This is what you get when you make a Lawyer a Minister of Power and Works. The Ministry and his profession are inversely related and as such incompetency has been the order of the day. Same Fashola that said "any government that cannot provide 24/7 power supply to her citizens within 6 months is not a serious government. Now he is the Minister of Power. Go and tell that to the Senate and stop the rant.

I am an elecgtrical engineer by training and i know for a fact that Engineers didn't like the fact that a lawyer is heading 3 ministries Engineers see as their own. However, ministers and heads everywhere DON'T need technical knowledge like that. they just need to manage those with require technical knowledge and take decisions as required. Simple. Fashola is performing well in all the 3 ministries. Simple

Miscellaneous is not the same thing as contingency and besides that there would be a sum allocated for repairs etc.

Are you telling me there are no seasoned engineers to to oversee this ministries? Or engineers are not good managers? Or Fashola understands this ministries better than the professionals in that ought to be there? Maybe an engineer should be allowed to head ministry of justice, or ministry of health, then you'll boldly make this statement that it doesn't matter.

You read upside down

It was not the project that he ascribed to GEJ. He said the Eurobond loan was taken in 2013 by GEJ govt, part of which, NSIA invested and earning interest.

The “fastest” project came in much later through General Electric.

"Much later" is the issue here. The Eurobond was for the purpose used for which he refused to acknowledge that the project was initiated by past government. The statement was carefully crafted to omit that and appropriate the initiative.

I bet with your self-acclaimed intellectual prowess, if given the position of a local government chairman. you can't make meaningful progress.

how dare you berates the the effort of the most active and working state in Nigeria. a state that is well managed that even Ojukwu cannot evenbe left out in wanting to own a property in It. Orji uzor kalu dangote and the rest are enjoying relative peace than their state of origin.
