This is clearly sponsored by the West who are not comfortable with Mugabe's antics.

... I think the old man should better resign before he is slaughtered.

Am soo loving this shit....if na Nigerian soldiers they for don kill the bastard already... Africans have bad ruling mentality

In the history of coups in Nigeria, soldiers hardly kill the civilian president they were toppling.

They didn't kill Shagari (1983) and Shonekan (1993).

It was only Prime Minister Balewa (1966) that was killed.

There are lots of differences between soldiers and soldiers.

If u want to be a soldier, go through the ranks; attend the academy.

Obviously, this is a Holy Coup. Masterminded by an educated and intelligent officer who will likely be praised and honoured by international bodies at the end.

Mugabe outlived his usefulness and like Gaddafi has taken Zimbabwe into the unknown. African leaders hardly leave the stage when the ovation is loudest.

A Nixon and Kissinger scene.....
When your subordinate is more powerful than you and you act foolish this is how it ends.... SMH....

Mugabe has been advised, begged to step down and go enjoy his old age but sadly sometimes age comes alone, leaving wisdom behind...

What else does a 93 year old- great-grand ---father wants in life? African leaders are too intoxicated with power. Disgracefully,Grace the wife, will join him exit Harare. These people hardly learn from the errors of others.

Africa O my Africa!

I weep for Africa entirely. With this type of greed and hunger for power, one will be wondering how Africa will everly get better again.imagine someone ruling since 1980 uptill now and still not satisfied, he now removed the vice president in favour of his own wife.family business indeed.shame to Africa. The same thing has been happening in Nigeria. The same old names and figures that destroyed our country is still rotating themselves uptill today.

Finally. His excesses were becoming intolerable.
I hope and they better make sure the West is not involved, else they'll regret it fast...and if not, this is a coup/takeover I totally support.

Sadly, the west is definitely involved cos they hate Mugabe a lot. Your fear is valid because the west will ruin Zimbabwe more....like they do everywhere else.
