In short, Nestle pays more than p$g, I have friends in both... Just don't want to meddle in the argument before... Even the p$g Ibadan plant is quite different from the p$g we have here in Agbara... The only thingy I see in the nestle stuff is the senior and junior staff they are operating on which p$g dont have dat....

How to build a career for yourself may be somehow tasking and will take a while to do but in the end, it is always worth it for those who really put in the work.

On knowing what career line to build on, you have to consider your strengths and weaknesses. Look deep within and understand the things that interest you as well as the things that distract you. Knowing these things will greatly help in choosing where to grow from.

It could range from getting a job as an intern to learn certain skills and build on them, as well as making out a job for yourself and building a career out of it.
Your choice career path should be something that excites you and can be counted as an hobby rather than work.

I have some information that might address this issue.

I applied for d last Nestle Technical Program earlier this year...although I wasn't taken after d interview. But we were told that Nestle pays N20k per month for that training which was to last for 18months. When we enquired about the technicians working in the company, we learnt that they received N90k+ for starters.
On the other hand, P&G recruits students every year for 1year internship. My friend was among the last year's interns. P&G paid them N50k per month. At the end of the internship, my friend was offered a job and now he earns above N100k as an ND holder. He works in the marketing department, not Engineering. I didn't want to burg him to tell me d exact amount they pay him because it would look awkward. He would have told me if he wanted.

From online research...I learnt that P&G pays more (N75k) to Engineering interns I.e Production Technicians or Machine Operators.

So I think this validates what Adekanmbi said. It will be good if you can verify from your friends what's obtainable in their company now. This is because the recession really made many of these companies to cut down on some things they feel are excesses.

Same thing I heard because I have friends working in the two companies. I have over forty (40)friends and classmates in Nestle and have six (6) in P & G. All the same, it is well.

Good morning Adekanbi, sorry for disturbing you, I am just curious the way people talk good about you, bringing agbara jobs here online for them to apply.

Please may I know what you studied?

I am an HND graduate of microbiology, I have never worked in my field before which has cost me a lot of job due to lack of experience in my field

I lost a job in perfetti van melle last year, due to no experience, I was even told even if it's just 3month experience, I would have been offered a job, but no experience at all.

Please I don't know, if it just do some volunteer work for some of this production company if there's something like that, with just little tips monthly. I would do it so that I can just have experience in my field.

Would be expecting your reply

Thanks and happy new year

Good evening Wunmi,

Apologies for this late response. I have been away for a while enjoying the holiday.

First of all, so sorry about the job loss at PVM. God will reward your efforts this year effortlessly.
"And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you."
Joel 2:25
What this means is that God will reward the wasted years you have been looking for job with great opportunities this year.

I holds a HND Mechanical Engineering; that answers your first question. HND Microbiology, that should be OND Food Technology, right ? I would advise we be on the look out for both OND Food Technology and HND Microbiology jobs for you just to garner experience.

Like I always tell people and thank God you have taken decision already, it doesn't necessarily mean that your first job comes with good salary, but with time after having the required experience, great doors will open.

Your location please?
