Sorry for just replying, av been busy lately with my project at school. I am always too tired to reply.

I decided to suspend it because I decern people will fail if they follow my approach.

Truly there is effecient study but not for jamb, because jamb set all topics and use all textbooks unlike putme.
;;; lol lol.. Abt OAU post utme as past question driven.. It's just recently(dis year's post utme) that's "past question driven" .... OAU post utme have always been a normal exam with few(1 or 2) past questions or none at all.. Which I feel is normal for an exam like that........

For now, read everything readable, get 300+ in utme .

When its time for putme , you will then understand the different between studying for UI putme, FUNAAB putme and OAU putme. That is where my information will profit you.

To summarise it all, if you study for UI putme as if you want to sit for FUNAAB's , you will be shocked.

If you study for jamb, as if you are sitting for that past questions driven exam called OAU putme, you will be surprised.

I can tell you how UI set questions for each subject, I av sat for 3 putme and I understand them.
I am a FUNAAB student but if you prepare for FUNAAB putme like Ui putme, you might fail big time. It is in FUNAAB where 290+ is scoring 27% because of lack of efficient study.

I am really sorry I had to quote that.. Twas a mistake.. Replying to OAU post utme being a" past question driven exam.".. Maybe it is now... It will be wrong to think it was like that..... OAU post utme has always been a normal exam with little or no past questions before now.. Which I want to believe Is normal for such an exam.. #mypenny

BTW.. Congrats on your admission bro.. More success on your way Pes13

well.. Thanks

But what about the other ones u promised like:
- how to calculate pH
- how to read efficiently
- how to calculate standard form without using calculator

Tanks bro.

But if u get OAU putme past questions, English and physics precisely from 2006 to 2012 you will notice what I am saying.

Also, predegree past questions for each year compare to putme of the same year under review.

bro I get Wah you saying.. This years' OAU postutme was rubbish... Substandard questions... And manipulated results... Expected nothing less than 35/40 end up having 28.... My Agg is 75.6. Still waiting for my name anyway...

As promised, its time to solve questions on PH without calculator.

Pls let bring questions on PH with option cos I don't av access to it now.

Let's start with the simplest

Find the PH of 0.001 HCl?

All we need to do is to convert this to standard form

1 x 10^-3. Which is = 10^-3

Then find the negative log of 10^-3

3Log10

The final answer = 3

This is the method you use regardless of how complicated the value of the concentration of the acid is.

Used this method, you can solve any question on PH

You are close. Your chances are very high. You can add influence to your expectation if you have any.

.. Don't you think 0.001 Is quite straight forward? Merely seeing that there are 3 zeros before 1.. I know the answer is 3.. .. Of there are four zeros it's 4 ..... #note.. The significant figure had to be 1... .. When you have concentration values like 0.0015 .. Wah do you do?? You will need the negative logarithm of 1.5 too..??

@ boyejo123

More explanation to the No1 diagram...

The body is just about to slide down the plane,which means that the frictional force equals the force acting to slide the body down the plane.Note that the force parallel to the inclined plane is the force acting on the body along the inclined plane and is not always the frictional force.The weight of the body(mg) is acting vertically downwards at any point and the reaction force on the body(R),is acting perpendicular to the inclined plane.If the inclined plane is in a horizontal direction with the floor(i.e. if the angle of inclination between the inclined plane and the floor is zero),the weight of the body will act in the same direction with the reaction force(i.e. in a perpendicular direction with the plane).But if the plane is raised through an angle,theta,then,the weight of the body(now acting vertically downwards) will have the same angle theta with the reaction force(now acting perpendicular to the inclined plane).

I hope this helps..........

PHYSICS.
This is live Jamb question...No joking.....abeg somebody who knows his onions in physics should help out.....

1) When a resistance R is across a cell, the voltage across the terminals of the cell is reduced to two-thirds of its nominal value.The internal resistance of the cell is
(A) One-third R
(B) Half R
(C) Two-third R
(D) R

Please I need full explanations....

(A) One-third R
(B) Half R*ANS***
(C) Two-third R
(D) R

Please I need full explanations....
v=IR
E=I(R+r)cause of internal resistance (r)
so v has been reduced to two-third its value.
I.e
IR=⅔I(R+r) IR is the original value,and the other is reduced.
IR=⅔*IR*Ir
IR=2IR+2Ir/3
cross multiply
3IR=2IR+2Ir
3IR-2IR=2Ir
IR=2Ir
make r subject of formula
r=IR/2I
I divides I,remaining
r=R/2.

Hi bosses

1) An engine pumps water from a river 10m below its own level and discharges it through a nozzle of diameter 10cm with a speed of 50m/s. Find the power required assuming (a) no losses (b) 70% efficiency. (water weighs 10^3kg/m. g=10m/s^2)

2) A certain coil spring with an unstretched lenght of 1m requires a force of 5N to stretch it 0.1cm. What work is done in stretching it by 1cm if the elastic limit is still not exceeded...........
Please help me with this

mathematics is optional ..but physics is very important..

tech-oriented courses needs math than biology

while medical-oriented courses require biology than mathematics

REGISTRATION CLOSING?

This is to inform all prospective JUPEB candidates that the registration for the 2017/2018 session has started since April and is still running at the moment . Although lectures are expected to start by the ending of this month, students still have the opportunity to register till December at our private study centers.
Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board is a programme approved by Federal Government of Nigeria. Candidates who passed the examination can use the result as a qualification to gain admission into 200 level in combination with Direct Entry.
The Admission can only be secured into any of the list of JUPEB affiliated universities in Nigeria and abroad.
JUPEB Program is coordinated by the University of Lagos. The program runs for 9-11 months
It is divided into two sessions of First Semester and Second semester. JUPEB serves as an alternative to gain admission into 200 level in Nigerian universities and some foreign varsities. The main reason of JUPEB programme is to give students more chances of securing admission into universities.
JUPEB registration for 2017/2018 session is ongoing.

We implore Candidates to register now in order to be privileged to get study centers closer to them.
JUPEB registration is N10,000 while the breakdown of the JUPEB school Fees varies from center to center and from one university to another. You can call any of the phone numbers below to get more information about JUPEB fees.
Students can undergo their program in any center in any state of their choice and thereafter use the result to gain admission into any university of their choice in any state. This means that you can undergo the program at Ilorin and still gain admission to a university in Ogun state.
One of the major advantage of JUPEB is that the result do not expire. This means you can use it to secure Admission over and over.
To Register For JUPEB Program For 2017/2018 Session kindly call any of the numbers below.
08148501101 or 07019103120

Hello everyone,I have a few questions to ask:
1. How is U.I admission system. Do they use WAEC grades as a criteria?
2. How do the UTME and PUTME scores add up to form aggregate?
3. How much is their acceptance and school fees?... Thanks
