To start with, am a science student aspiring for medical laboratory science in the university of Ibadan for this 2018/19 session. But the problem is that am having deficiency in the calculation aspect of physics and chemistry which I know about 30% of the the total questions will come out of. Also, I have gone through a lot of messages on this thread and notice some guys are gurus in physics and chemistry. You might be fortunate this year.

Sometimes UI will set a total of 10 simple calculation questions in chemistry and physics, the rest will be essay questions.

While sometimes, they will set at least 18 tough calculations out of 25 questions in physics alone .

I am a medical student, and I can tell you UI calculations are time demanding if they are ready to set calculation questions .

So, Do your best to be excellent and fast in calculations.

Get new school physics or P. N OKEKE.

A friend of mine told me that UI does not allot equal marks to all the questions.

According to him,English Language, calculations in Chemistry and physics always carries higher marks.

Please, Is this True ?

And if yes,
Is there any other good English textbook I can buy to be more proficient in Use of English(and smash UI PostUTME)....apart from Inviscible Teacher ?

The answer is 30m/s.
I don't think you need any calculation for this.
The height of the cliff isn't given, and assuming it is the same stone and physical factors when he throws the stone vertically and horizontally, thus since the height, mass of stone and the initial speed is constant, then the velocity on reaching the ground will also be constant. That is 30m/s
