None of the SA or algerian ships uses the harpoon due to politics.

so you think Algerian army buy only from russia ? do you know that the Algerian Meko s was bought from germany ? and have suedish RBS-15 Mk.3 anti-ship missiles , and many other western systems on them .

same for Lpd helicopter carrier bought from Italy , C28 corvets from china , navy helicopters from augusta westland england/italy

Algerian Meko A 200 version is better then the egyptian Fremm ( tahya masr) which don't have VLS for the SCALP Naval cruise missiles and jammers also ) , same for the Moroccan Fremm (mohamed 6) also without VLS for the SCALP Naval cruise missiles no jammers and no Narwhal gun systems also .

you can add to this that algerian navy operate all kind of air defense missile , the european aster 30 on Kelaat beni abbes Lpd , the chinese HQ-7 on C28 A heavy corvet , Russian SA-N-4 on Koni and nanushka II class , and they select the south african Umkhonto block II for the Meko A 200 . so they can have a good idea about difference and capacity of each one
