Okay am creating this thread to try to tackle the issue of being left handed cuz its making elders to tag one as being direspectful.

I want to know why our elders would never accept anything being given to them using your left hand. To my fellow nairalanders please i need answers

Just give one of the elders a briefcase filled with money and a car key with your left hand and see his reaction first.

I usually give with my left hand. All those notions are mere social constructs.

The same way people see cesarean delivery as unnatural, just constructs imprisoning rational mindsets.

It is part of our culture to view someone younger who attempts to/receives or gives using the left hand, as being disrespectful.

However I do not condemn persons who write with their left hands.

It is just another useless and insensible african mentality. Even naturally left-handed children are being tortured for eating with their left.

I agree.

A child should eat with whatever hand he/she feels comfortable with.
