[size=13pt]AOL Instant Messenger, AIM, is not only a popular instant-messaging program for computers. . . . Android, iPhone, Black Berry and Windows Mobile are phones that can download the application. Some phones come pre-installed with AIM. But if yours did not, download AIM to your phone to keep in touch with your friends and family on the go. Instructions Step 1. Go to the AIM website on your computer. Step 2. Click "Get a User Name" if you do not have one. Fill out and submit the form. Step 3. Go back to the AIM homepage. Step 4. Click "Learn more" under "Get AIM on the Go." Step 5. Find your phone under the "Mobile" section. AIM works for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile phones. Step 6. Click "Send to Cell" for BlackBerry or Windows Mobile phones. Enter your cell phone number or email (must be synced to the phone) to receive the application. Click the "App Store" button and download AIM for the iPhone through iTunes. On Android phones, use the "Barcode Scanner" app (free application from the Android Market) to scan the black and white square on the website to download AIM from the Android Market. Step 7. Open your BlackBerry or Windows Mobile text or email and start downloading. For iPhone, download it from the App Store and sync your phone with iTunes using the iPhone USB cable. Android users, download and wait for AIM to download on your phone. AIM will appear on your phone after the download/syncing completes. Step 8.
