Popular Jamaican superstar, Desmond John Ballentine, better known as Ninjaman, and sometimes as Don Gorgon, 51, has been convicted of murder and could be handed a life in imprisonment.

The Home Circuit Court in Kingston on Monday convicted Ninjaman and two co-accused for murder after they were found guilty of the 2009 murder of Ricardo Johnson, also known as Ricky Trooper.

As he was led away along with his co-accused, Ninjaman said;

“A suh it go man,”

“Don’t worry yuhself, Jamaica, I’ll be back,”

NinjaMan was found guilty of murder and shooting with intent, while his son, Janiel Ballentyne and Dennis Clayton, were convicted of murder after a witness named only as “Witness A” testified against them.

The long legal battle stated back in 2009 and had a total of 17 missed trial dates and 23 mentioned dates.

Ninjaman, his son Janiel Ballentyne and a co-accused Dennis Clayton will be sentenced on December 15. It is expected that they trio will get life imprisonment.
