Broken Record by dimelo: 12:24am On Nov 23, 2017
I woke up this morning to the sound of my alarm grin grin it blares
Then I sat to reminisce about my life but nobody cares
I think I still have some people in my life but nothing to share
I try to change my status but only get them to stare

I am a pure soul underneath but need to get out of my shell
I've had some hurtful experiences but who do I tell
I try to share my story but all I do is yell
They say "if there's life there's hope" but how can you tell

Call me a broken record you may not be far from the truth
Tell me i'm wasting my time you may be saying the truth
You say you've gone through some ordeal too but how can I be sure it's the truth
They preach it everywhere "say the truth and you'll be free" but how can I get them to know I'm saying the truth

You don't have to condone if you don't like me just deal with it
I'm not rude I'm not a snub and that's it
Picking up the pieces of my life I have to fix it
The better me may still be miles away but I have to reach it
This is my life and I'll have to risk it
