According to a research conducted: most young people believe they learn more form technology than from people. And considering the amount of time we spend online with our gadgets, we cannot challenge this truth.

And you will agree with me that there is a lot to learn online; the good, the bad, and the ugly. The choice is yours. Here are the top educational sites in Nigeria where you can learn the good, and the best:

1. Brainstormr: This is the grandmaster of educational technology. Brainstormr.com does what four edtech companies combined do, and even better. You can read books, ask a tutor, talk to a counsellor, an expert, take exams, mock trivia, sell books, articles, journals etc. And they also have a Virtual Learning platform (www.classroom.brainstormr.com). www.brainstormr.com is undoubtedly the student nerve centre.

2. Pass.ng: Started by late Samson Abioye and his friends in their lecturer’s office in LAUTECH, Ogbomoso in 2013. This is the go-to site for every ‘Jambite’ if you don’t want to fail.

3. Flexisaf: This is an educational technology company founded in 2007. The trio: Faiz Bashir, Alameen Ibrahim, and Abubakar Manga started out in Abuja before spreading tentacles to other states like Lagos, and subsidiaries like distinction.ng; skools.ng; kidcoder.ng etc. they want every school activity to become paperless, and smart.

4. Tuteria.ng: Will you resign from a firm where you get stable reasonable salary? Godwin Benson did; resigned from Deloitte to start tuteria.ng. Tuteria.ng does the same thing as tutor.ng, but differently. Before a tutor profile can appear on the site, they pass through a rigorous selection process of verification. So you may not see as many tutors on Tuteria.ng as Tutor.ng. But you can be sure of any tutor on www.tuteria.ng.

5. Tutor.ng: Peter Ogedengbe and Fehintolu Olaogun started Tutor.ng in 2014. Have you heard of Udemy, Edx, Cousera etc., Tutor.ng is the Nigeria version. You will find a tutor to teach you anything you want to learn offline or online. And I mean anything! www.tutor.ng

6. Stutern: student internship – Jobberman for internship. Founded two years ago on the 15th of January 2015 by Taiwo and Kehinde Ayanleye. Either you want to make money during holiday or just want to have hands-on experience, then Stutern is for you. You will be connected to the right firm. www.stutern.com

7. myschool.com.ng: if you need to know the latest about exams in Nigeria – JAMB, WAEC, POST UTME, etc. or news on any university in Nigeria, especially admission news, go to myschool.com.ng. They also provide past questions and other services that will ensure you get admitted into the university. www.myschool.com.ng

You can add yours to the list.
