UPDATE: Court of Appeal in South Africa has increased Paralympian Oscar Pistorius' sentence to 13 years and 5 months for killing his girlfriend.

State argued athlete’s original sentence of six years for murder of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp was ‘shockingly lenient’
A South African appeal court has more than doubled the former Paralympian Oscar Pistorius’s prison sentence for murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

The supreme court of appeal (SCA) increased Pistorius’s sentence from six years in prison to 13 years and five months.

Pistorius killed Steenkamp by firing four bullets from a handgun through a closed toilet door in his luxury home in Pretoria on Valentine’s Day in 2013. He claimed he mistook her for a burglar.

High court judge Thokozile Masipa initially sentenced Pistorius to five years for culpable homicide in 2014. The sentence was much lower than many had expected and was widely criticised.

Sorry Oscar. You pay for your sins. At least you have your life. Considering what you did. 13 years is a slap on the wrist.

Maybe the guy wasn't forthcoming with his promisingin exchange for a lenient judgement so the supposed beneficiaries thought of revoking the agreed leniency. My opinion though, no one should come and throw insults at me ooo.
